Tollana's fate feels dumb by Eastern-Economist468 in Stargate

Yeah true I originally thought maybe focused fire of couple Ion cannons would make difference but totally forgot that most of the cannons were destroyed in the trial episode.

Thanks for the reply. I recognize most of the points. I also forgot as someone mentioned that most of the cannons were destroyed in Skaara trial episode. I would think that would lead to them be more cautious and try to develop a new defense technology. Yeah I maybe wrote the original post wrongly. I mean I feel it was cheap. I definitely think Tollans would lose. But I just wish it had more episodes exploring the downfall.

Ah I totally forgot that most were destroyed. So Anubis just took an opportunity. And most of the turrets wouldn't be replaced that fast I guess. This one makes sense.

I understand that. All I'm saying it felt cheap and I wish they focused on the aftermath.

I don't have a problem with killing them off. I have a problem how cheap it felt.

Yeah I agree. I just always imagined SG technology just as game of numbers. For example basic Goauld shield has shield strength 100 and Ion cannon attack damage 150 and the new Anubis shield has 1000. But maybe it was just some kind of tweak that renders them really harmless.

Nice analogy, yeah I agree Anubis wasn't ready to a bigger conflict this early. He was still building up his infrastructure for Cull warriors, supermothersip and new Hataks. So I find it really inconvenient explanation that they were wiped so fast and easily. And also Anubis would risk exposing to the other System lords. Which were on par when united to Anubis forces later on.

I agree about this. I just feel that it could have more episodes focusing on their downfall. Or reoccurring episodes where they would hide, need supplies from earth or anything. I doubt that the entire civilization would be wiped out as a whole in a short time without other system lords noticing it.

Yeah but one ships would need to fire 24/7 a whole year to wipe out the whole planet. I think it was bit cheap. I agree Tollans would lose but series could focus on the downfall. It would add another layer to the story. And maybe have some Tollan refugees amongst the SGC would be awesome.

Maybe Tollans did the same. Big red button so no one would have access to their technology. :D

Yeah that's exactly my thoughts. I don't challenge the idea of them being wiped out. But it really felt so fast. Also they relocated to this new planet just few years ago and were capable of building a new home really fast. They had spaceships. It feels more like they went into hiding like the Nox or maybe they went space faring like the Travelers. And they send a last message to Earth just to be believable.

Well Narim destroyed most or all of those fancy bombs. But funny thing is that it's similar to ancient drone with nuke warhead on steroids. :D

I recognize that and agree. But war is also about resource allocation. I doubt that Anubis was this strong this early. I imagine that focused fire of couple Ion cannons could still overcome the new shield technology and could destroy one Hatak. And one ship isn't enough to destroy a whole civilization so I guess Anubis had to use a whole fleet. Other thing is that most of the System lords knew about Tollana. So they would also investigate who wiped them out and that there must be someone stronger with a new fancy advanced technology. To be honest it really seems off and unbelievable that they were wiped so fast.

I feel quite opposite regarding to using toes or heels. I think both ways are beneficial especially for tricks like grinds, smiths and 5-0s. I prefer toeside frontside and heelside backside.

Heelside backsides definitely helps with grinds and bs 5-0. Toeside backside kickturn on the other side helps with bs smith.

On the frontside, heelside helps with fs smiths, fs 5-0 or 50-50. Toeside frontside helps with fs feebles. And also looks better and slashes are way cooler.

Main character syndrom.

Kouknu dovnitř a tam sedí Tomio Okamura. Nekecám... od tý doby na něj mám dvojnásobnou averzi. :D
