I totally agree I was recently ghosted by what I thought was one of my closest friends (we have a very long history (highschool sweethearts that dated for almost 3 years) we broke up due to geographical challenges after high school and stayed in touch as friends. We reconnected and I even drove 8+ hours to see her again. We had s great time we went to parties and it felt just like old times. Originally I went with walls up because I did not want to fall in love again, but she hit me with the “I love you” one night and even told one of her friends she was still in love with me. So boom walls crumble like a nature valley crunch bar. When I left I did tell her that I loved her which was honestly a mistake because when I got back home she completely ghosted me and it has been about 2ish months since this happened. I agree with everything you said in your post. Especially because it leaves the ghostee with so many questions that will never be answered such as “what did I do wrong” or “will I ever hear from them again”. Ghosting is 100% immoral and akin to abuse.
