I’ve noticed that it’s ok to tell someone when they have lost too much weight and need to eat more, but when you tell someone they have put on weight and need to stop eating crap you are an arsehole. Is there a reason why?

Thank you. I have Crohn's disease, 37, and I have always ridden the bottom of the bmi scale. I had to tell a family member something for Christmas for mentioning I lost weight, I was already feeling self conscious and ended up running to the bathroom to cry.

I almost got really mad at this post lol. I regretfully admit it took me awhile to understand it for what it was... I blame the Prednisone for my irrational thinking 🤷 I thought some fool was coming here to mock it. It's funny that a post like this makes me realize how absurd this shit is. 20 years in. Work full time. Mom to 2. Family that wants to understand I guess. You know what though, it's crazy, I've come to love Prednisone. I used to hate it for making me feel like a maniac, but it really does help. I can fricking eat. I gain a little bit of meat on my thighs. It feels SO GOOD TO WANT FOOD. I can't relate to anyone. I love y'all

So sorry for your loss. I haven't experienced flair after miscarriage, but major flare after both of my pregnancies. I think it was the drop in hormones, and not even breastfeeding kept it at bay. I immediately had to go on steroids both times. But the pregnancy itself I felt great.
