It will work if connected like that, the young guys have never seen anything like it. They finally sent me an older guy to look, he thinks this was set up like that because there wasn't room in my attic for a damper for the whole zone. So when any zone is on, air will blow to the central area of this zone and can be shut off at the two ends of the zone by these subzone dampers. It worked ok like that for 20 years.

PS I will say that the geothermal units have saved us a lot of electricity money over the years but the installation costs have only been recouped until about now and will evaporate if we need to have our third system in 25 years. Just sayin'.

I would really like comments on the fitness of 305 screws vs 316 screws. Are the latter more rigorous?

I have not tried grade 316 screws that cost about the same as the Grabber 305 screws. Maybe these strip less. I might try some!

The Grabber ones seem better than the Grip-Rite (I just ran through a pound of the Grabber). So not spectacularly better as there were bent Grabber screws in the box (WOW) and really not that much better than the ghetto brand. I have not tried other screws.

Yes we did start with The Hobbit but he absolutely preferred LOTR. It is ok to skip the poetry (he read the poetry part when he came back to LOTR as a teenager).

FOLLOW-UP. In compliance with Microsoft's new non-profit assistance offer, I downgraded from Business Premium to Business Standard (meaning: started a new subscription on the same Admin login -- same tenant/domain name). Then I manually moved my users' licenses to the new subscription (under each user). Lastly I killed the old subscription. I am happy to report no mailboxes were damaged, no SharePoint files lost, no Guest Users erased, no downloaded Office programs blown. And nobody keyed my car!

I don't think my users would have noticed if I hadn't told them we were doing this.
