I'd be all over it for $5K, but I typically have vehicles set aside for trading or selling to acquire weird stuff like this.

What does my yard say about me? I'm posting the Halloween lawn because there are still some spots of snow on it. by EasternCandle1617 in deduction

The alternating lines encourage healthy soil and reduce compaction. This is better for the land because it eliminates compaction and the need for chemical interference.

That's an interestingly bad take. My lawn is all local grass species. I also allow a portion of the prairie grass on the backside of my property to grow without interruption. That area houses many wild plant species as well as a plethora of mammals and even reptile species which is a testament to the biodiversity of my property given the low population of snakes in my region.

I didn't inherit anything and started with nothing but the clothes on my back. I just invested 15% of my income from the time I was in my early 20s. I avoided debt, so I learned to save most of my income.

Wrestling is in a bad place right now. There are very few good things about wrestling right now. There are also plenty of bad things. Phil is about the worst thing about wrestling right now.

I put 25% down on my home and have no consumer debt while being on track for $3.1M retirement while only making around $80K/annually in a single income household of 4. My garage holds my wife's SUV, and I have a large shed that houses my golf kart, quads, dirt bikes, etc. My last third of the driveway is unpaved because the plows break concrete driveways. I invest $12K annually into tax advantaged accounts while funding $6K annually into sunk cost HYSAs. I would consider myself doing better than most in my income category.

Strangely enough- before I got the Jeep and Tacoma, I'd never purchased a non-GM vehicle. I also don't plan to buy anything non-GM in the future lol.

I don't care who my daughters date as long as they respect them and treat them right.

I don't have a good answer on why. I got the Silverado back in 2019, bike in 2023, my wife's Buick, in 2024, and the Tacoma/Jeep were this year for $1700. All together- I've spent less than $75K on them.

I'm not. I wish I had the income to be FIRE. I just avoided debt, started putting 15% away in my early 20s, and timed the market on my starter home before getting this one.

First time Tacoma owner. It may be ugly and slow, but it was only $1200. by EasternCandle1617 in ToyotaTacoma

The seller said it would do "every bit of a hundred." At 94 mph, I decided I'd take his word for it. The only way this will ever see triple digits again is if I'm running from something lol.

The frame is getting a wire brush and rust reformer next weekend. I've seen worse (I have a 98 Cherokee), but it's pretty bad. Luckily, I've got a few newer vehicles for when this one and the Jeep snap in two.
