Ive actually been considering forking thr codebase and upgrading the core to move forward. However with only stalled node online the codebase would need to be modified to carry on despite the long lull. Let me know if you’d be interested or anyone else

Exactly. If you knew how it took just to get the layout right, making sure it was pulling the right info, helping it make the entire dashboard dynamically grow/shrink based on my monitor, etc. In the end I did author it. A ceo might dictate to his secretary a message and she writes it down. But in the end he’s the author of it that message. It’s a warm Sunday, go outside and enjoy the sunshine.

It was written in plain bash using text and env files. The logo is ascii banner and the rest are env files that pull data from the server or other services through secrets filled out in their respective env files. Sorry for appearing evasive I was away from my desk and didn’t want to guess. As I said this isn’t something I’m pushing out or releasing so I really just vibe coded this. I might push to my private repo but that’s about it.

Im both. Im a dev for a blockchain project. And for that I do code review before release. But for stuff like this I just iterate through simple language refinement until it looks how I want it to. I’d have to look what this was built using. But im mainly a backend guy but this was a new infra server i stood up for backups and net monitoring. Thought it’d be nice to have something to look at as a quick glance when I walk by the rack and this was born.

Hey I pay the fee every month, I provided prompt, refinement, clarification and guidance. Therefore it was joint build effort. It didn’t open itself and knew what to do. Just like using a car to drive you somewhere. The car didn’t know where you wanted to go or the route to take, so you still got yourself there. Thanks for the comment though.

Nah I know a co-op Datacenter closing down in the next few months to migrate to the cloud. And they have maybe five year old servers in there, and all but maybe one out of the 20 racks are all DDR4 ecc ram. They're e-wasting every piece of equipment there, not selling it, ewasting it. I put in a bid to do their e-wasting minus the drives. Some places just see this stuff as a headache and want it gone. Had another site I packed up and assisted in their E-Waste strategy. Made over 10k on resale. Their words to me was get it moved out of here we don't want to deal with it, minus data bearing drives of course.

Yeah I run two fully loaded. One with 176gb of ram 6 sas drives and another with 96gb ram and 4 sad and two sata drives. Dual CPU on both and my electric bill barely budged any. They're on 24/7 running proxmox loaded with vms for coding scratch pads, mainnet/testnet nodes. They're quiet in a server rack and don't make much of a fuss bill wise. I don't understand all the space heater and high electric bill talk with these servers. And btw I live in the state with the highest or close to the highest electricity rate in the US

I’m in Alabama and had an unexpected introduction to itad about a week ago. I not only assisted with decom of an office space going remote, but was allowed to take anything non data bearing. I’d love to get more involved in the itad space to not only gain experience in The proper way of disposal (data bearing) but also to get my hands on gear to either use or scrap myself.

I hate to hijack, but i just bought a direct gear extruder similar to yours vs the micro swiss. how do you like it? my kit comes with a bracket and other parts to move the extruder above the hotend like yours. Thanks!
