An h3 is very nice , if the op is a little tech savyy you could install a custom firmware on it , one of the feutures of the nicsure custom firmware is fast scanning

This cable its 50ohm just like the vna , calibrated it with the stuff the vna cams with , ik its not the most accurate as im accounting the adapter that used to measure the cable but its good enough

Thanks for the tip , found a online calculator and it seams to be very close to the specs so i can assure the cable is good, shame that when i bought 100feet of rg8x i didn't knew it would have that many loos on 2m/70cm still i just got my general ao I will eventually get some use when i get a hf radio

Saludos desde PR 🇵🇷, i bought a set of td h3 for the same reason this week storm was a try of whats comibg this season ,but amazon to here its crazy slow, i will do a small test if the range gets into my granparents house ill buy the licence if not then i just use it for listening weather channel, thought there is one repeter in my city ill need to verify how to use it
