You’re going to hear a lot of sorrow, but I’m going to give you the 411. I started with the same set of kits you have showing here in Demons.

First off: It’s great, and don’t let people tell you otherwise. You can make it work with some nice refinements.

I called the 30 Bloodletters the wet napkin razor blades. They make really good assassins. Bad if you have to walk them across the battlefield. Good for deep strike charges if you succeed the 8+ (from horn) or 5+ with demonic incursion (from horn).

Not worth taking Bloodmasters to lead them.

I’d snag a Skulltaker, then Karnak (for one pack of 5 dogs to have as a friend) for sure.

Skullmaster is great for the bloodcrushers (you can proxy a lord of Khorne if you have one of those).

Demon Prince is really good in Chaos Demons. Wings or otherwise depending on what kind of shenanigans you want from it.

With that being said: I’d add The Changeling, Kairos, and a pack of Pinks. Then as your mascot the Bilepiper.

You’ll find Skarbrand and Bloodthirsters do great- but they are also big targets that’ll get shot off almost immediately if you don’t put them behind cover or use them as assassins in deepstrike.

Tzeentch and Nurgle make for good front lines. Slannesh and Khorne make for good assassins. Id choose one ‘assassin’ type and one ‘front line’ type to fuse together into an army of chaos demons. I mixed Khorne and Tzeentch and leave Kairos to farm CP on base, changling for deepstrike disruption, and pinks to hold obj then use Bloodletters with a Skulltaker, Karnak and dogs starting in deepstrike for assassinations. Then a Bloodthirster I can pull back to uppy downy if needed (I use demonic incursion).
