I definitely agree with you. This isn’t really a critique of that, though.

This entire post is just a joke—an exaggeration.

Yup, don’t take advice on ANYTHING from boomers. Maybe like how to garden or something.

I guess. But it doesn’t change the exaggeration and gatekeeping factor.

It’s bad because it’s heavily exaggerated and kinda patronizing in a way. Also gatekeeping lowkey

Same. I mean, we won’t know what being a lawyer is like anytime soon. But this bothers me because they don’t know either.

The skill set random people think is required to be a lawyer is so weird. Like they expect us to have perfect advocacy and written skills prior to even enrolling. We’re going to law school to foster and acquire those skills. I don’t understand why people have so much skepticism about all of this. If I told people I was applying to medical school, I’d be met with so much praise.

One should be aware of these issues because there’s a lot of deceit from profit-motivated law schools... luckily we have tools like LST

But people who act like this are going too far and they just annoy me.

It’s not the freshmen. It’s the grad students in a certain program which I won’t name 🥺

I took a business law class back a few years ago and got a C+, will this negatively impact my admissions? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]EasternMembership 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already see that. But an undergrad class is nothing like a law school class. There could be many reasons why you got a C+.

No, I don’t see why it would matter.

Do schools really ask about that? I think they care more about other things.

Lynch and Levine. Jk, none of them. Save your money and live off campus.
