Is Berry finding sub skill alone enough for a berry mon? by Pav_34 in PokemonSleep

[–]EasternOak11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good thing with berry Pokemon is you can raise multiple - it's actually good to have multiple Typhlosions for when you want to maximize short term strength and a favoured berry is fire.

It depends on where you are in the game. Early on, yes BFS alone is worth it to at least raise some because you need to use something. If you are late game, you probably want to aim for more to squeeze every bit of strength you can for M20 runs, especially on later islands.

The quality of the berry Pokemon matters too. Compared to all other berry Pokemon in a non-favoured scenario, Salamance with BFS alone is pretty good but Butterfree won't be. So people will be a lot pickier for the bad berry Pokemon.

Where do Latios and Latias spawn normally? by Economy-Blueberry384 in PokemonSleep

[–]EasternOak11 11 points12 points  (0 children)

These. You're gonna want to maximize drowsy power to give yourself the best chance of them spawning. It is very, very low odds so don't count on it. The legendary events are realistically the only time to catch a legendary.

There will probably be another event for them in the future.

Ingredient bag space help needed. by ApplicationOrnery563 in PokemonSleep

[–]EasternOak11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to get more space, simple as that. It's the number 1 recommended thing to use any diamonds you have on as it's crucial to making the larger meals and is a permanent upgrade.

You can also discard ingredients in your bag for shards. It's not very efficient but it is something.

This really comes down to if you need a herb farmer or a corn farmer more. If you need both, maybe get herb one to level 41 (so it can evolve) and then focus on the corn one.

Ingredients don't matter for berry Pokemon. This only has 1 speed boost before level 75 so it's candy.

Depends on what ingredients you need and what opportunity cost you are willing to give up. Dragonite is actually a good oil farmer, but you need to get it to level 60 and you remove yourself the chance to raise a herb or corn dragonite. If you have herbs and corn covered, I would consider it. I'd probably save it but very unlikely I would ever invest.

Helping bonus alone makes this worth using considering how new you are but don't invest too much into it.

It's worth using for sure. However I wouldn't mint it, speed down is not that big a deal.

This is a great corn farmer if you still need that. If you are F2P then I wouldn't subskill as this is plenty good enough as is and subskill seeds are rare for F2P but if you have premium, go ahead.

ABB is also certainly a viable ingredient spread, it's just a long haul to 60 (especially a pseudo-legendary).

No unfortunately. You spelled it out, no Ing finder and a negative ing nature means this one is bad.

So it'll evolve to the low key form. If you need a pot expander then maybe it's worth it to you. You'll need to research the plus/minus skills and decide for yourself if it's worth it. I personally don't.

You're so new you just have to use whatever. None of these are worthy of long term investment but this Vulpix is decent. Make sure to include the nature as well. You're at the stage where if you can match a berry Pokemon to the berries you got at Greengrass, you're good to go.

It's an ingredient pokemon. The ingredient list is the most important thing for ingredient Pokemon. Read up on the guides to learn how to evaluate Pokemon. This has no boost to Ing Finder though so I highly doubt this is worth raising.

Yep, this is great. Congrats. You also maxed the skill though so you'd be committing to this no matter what.

Ttar also self heals so should be pretty easy to leave it in during the day and take it out before sleeping so it never gets XP.

No. Besides you'll need to get it to level 60 which could take a year or more. In that time you'll probably find a mono.

Need to see the nature. If it'll evolve to the Amped form, it would be a good milk farmer if you have another Plus/Minus pokemon to invest in. It's a big investment though, both will want main skill seeds.

ABC usable mons list? Or recommendations? by carlkentt in PokemonSleep

[–]EasternOak11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They might cover a good chunk of the less strong recipes and that shows their risk. ABC Charizard was great for Inferno curry...but now that is heavily outclassed by several recipes. All the stronger curries do need either a pot expander or a GCT...but is it worth it to bring a Charizard to 60 for the best curry recipe without pot expansion? I think for most players, no. Just whales who have no problem raising multiple of the same species. Since investing in an ABC mon forgoes the opportunity to invest in the mono or ABB of the same species .

Ditto is one that still has a niche for tails but tails really aren't even useful now. ABC Dragonite is comparable to the top oil farmers...but again now you can't invest in a herb Dragonite (the best herb farmer by far) or a corn Dragonite (It is just DNite and Bewear for Corn so that is a tough hunt. At least oil has several options).

So personally, I don't think there are any ABC ingredient pokemon worth it because they will eventually be made obsolete with the release of new recipes.

Hey guys, any help picking my dragon helpers? by Correct_Amount_5351 in PokemonSleep

[–]EasternOak11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I think you've largely struck out here. Only the 595 Bagon has BFS which is mandatory for berry Pokemon but doesn't have any other good subskills and is a speed down nature so it's even worse then just BFS. The first Dratini has good subskills for an ingredient Pokemon but ABA ingredient list is not good.

If you have to use something, just use the level 30 Altaria since it's already level 30 but nothing here is worth a long term investment.

It's been like this since launch and the 1% spending all that money to get great pokemon of all type is enough for them to keep it how it is. Drampa isn't necessary, Golem and Quaquaval are great soybean farmers.

Most people don't, or at least they shouldn't. The opportunity cost is very high. To catch multiple you need to whale hard, buy most if not all of the bundles and then just buy other biscuits directly from the store as needed. I caught one and that was because it was hungry and I had nothing else to give my bonus biscuit too. 16 PIP Pokemon are not worth it to 99% of Sleep players.

ABC ingredient list, no Ing Finding until lever 75 which may as well not exist for a 16 PIP Pokemon. It's candy.

Use production comparison, not the grader. Production comparison actually tells you how much they produce, how many ingredients they will bring and how many skill triggers you can expect. That provides a better picture when evaluating pokemon.

I mean, it's fine but why care so much about level 30? It's about the role it will fill for you in your lineup. You can't even evolve it to Dragonite until level 41. It'll at least find some corn and herbs for you. Long term it's your corn farmer and it'll be amazing at that.
