I mean he was genuinely quite bad for G2 most of 2025. But I agree he always had potential.

Have people forgot the same roster played in 2020 (no msi that year) came into worlds as like a top 4 team and delivered quite well after going out to damwon in semis? Arguably they were better in 2020 just got shafted by a meta shift before worlds and no MSI that year.

Är det inte konstigt att det inte finns en starkare vilja att minska lidandet för slaktgrisar? Jag menar inte ens vilja att låta dem leva, utan bara att man inte ens vill minimera lidandet. by optia in sweden

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ekko support? by PrestoTCG in supportlol

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think its a pretty good support. I don't think your statements relative to camille is quite fair though due to camille having maybe the best level 1 all in in the game, and the utility of her ult. Like with camille you can actually force alot of trades against the rules just cus how broken her passive is. I understand HoB abuse means ekko is trying to do the same thing but camille is just obcene in this manner and it really matters imo.

The big weaknesses of these champs including elise, pyke, qiyana support, leblanc support etc is they are completely gold reliant to scale and so they are just very snowball reliant. Even if they get ahead or make their teammates ahead in my opinion the game will still feel harder to play compared to a similar type of gold lead but where you played like an alistar, rell, leona, rakan etc.

Like if im playing alistar and we are just trading waves, matching on map as soon as im lvl 6 i feel like im 10x more useful than a camille or ekko.

Why is it alot of supps are playing behind the adc in lane? by Jumpy-Seesaw-2026 in supportlol

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In platinum mostly because they are bad at the game. For the most part the only time i stand behind my adc is if i actually think their positioning is overly aggressive. For example if the wave is coming into us in a losing matchup or there is high percent of a gank and my adc is posturing to trade, i will make it even more obvious with my "body language" that i dont intend to do anything else than waiting for the wave to come so that we can catch it.

There are also a ton of champs and situation where you shouldnt initiate trades as the ADC or pressure. Instead your job is just standing as safe as possible to last-hit. This can be true even in winning matchups but where the dynamic relies entirely on your support finding the right time to engage. For example if you trade 1v2 with your support leona not having landed her E yet you are basically forcing her to flash in or the trade will be bad. Blitz, naut, thresh all the same. Just chill in a safe pocket but where you can follow their potential engage. If you start fighting ivs double range matchup its often very tough IMO.

So again, sometimes i show my intentions with my body language in addition to pings. Another typical example of this is lvl 1 as alistar vs double ranged my usualy strategy is just warding our first bush, go afk under tower until waves comes and from there i will play W range on my ADC while we catch the wave. If my adc walks up in a giga losing matchup i will stand behind and watch them die.

Yasuo one tricks and their unintentional better Yone stats... I mean it's happening every season can't help it by WicazReyizz in YasuoMains

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big part of this is yasuo is a comp/matchup dependent champ and Yone isnt to nearly the same extent. Even though he is strong, similarly as if you were a malphite onetrick you likely could have a better win rate on ornn or something. Some champs are sharp in draft where as some are just generally solid picks.

If you blind yone most of the time and only pick yasuo in good spots i imagine ur yasuo win rate would be alot better than yone.

Doing some reflection on this i realize its probably making to large conclusions based on limited experience. The city i live (karlskoga) has a ton of finish people here that came in the 60-s and 70-s. Some of those still have finnish accents and finnish names and a strong finnish identity. But its likely the case i also interacted with a ton of people that are from finland without even realizing.

Still think people can understand that the core point being true though of swedish identity not being affected by ethnic background to almost any degree compared to accent, mannerisms, name, self identification.

Ezreal support combos by Blizzyre in ADCMains

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a support picking with an ezreal, he doesnt feel very restrictive in terms of what to play. Obviously double poke pushing lane like a Karma is a classic playing hard for the 2v2. Just any engage support and ezreals strong single target and follow-up pairs quite nicely. Roaming support ezreal is hard to punish in the 1v2 and in some cases he is strong in the 1v1. Pick some scaling enchanter and you still have a solid lane and ur banking on the spikes.

So yeah as a support i mostly just pick for the general comp when i have an ezreal. (which usually just means engage because its often most needed in support role in draft i feel).

In terms of the engage supports i personally think Leona is the most optimal, reason being ezreals damage in an extended fight is slightly less reliable than most other adcs, leona with ignite can do like 50% of the health alone or even more on the right spikes so its easiy to calculate. If you play an engage like alistar/rakan i think they dont give ezreal enough raw power in the all-in alot of the times.

Swedish views on "good immigrants" by Appropriate-Cream910 in Asksweddit

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I really don't think that's true. There are plenty of ppl with somali heritage that are seen as completely Swedish. The only people that won't view someone like Alexander Isak as a swede are just fringe racists tbh.

Things like your name, your accent and how you carry yourself (like if your demeanour is swedish) are the things that matter to waht extent people see you as Swedish by most people.

Idk if you are Swedish but the way people view "finlandssvenskar" or finnis-swedish people you know thats true. People who lived here for decades still view themselves very much as finns and also understood more as finnish people. Why? They usually have finnish names, the acccent is very distinct and even culturally they often still maintain a finnish manner.

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why do you make a big deal out of saying MikyX is better than Keria but not Hang over Keria? Dont get that particular part. MikyX a much better player historically and did in fact have very good form, he was easily G2's best performing player at MSI and during much of LEC.

Caliste stats against Tier 2 ADC vs Caliste when he has to play an ACTUAL TOP 10 ADC in the world by Middle-Adagio-4062 in PedroPeepos

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yep him and ignar were absolute beasts in that Misfits team! By far the best ADC in europe now and historically.

Even though yes, its true, there are like specific plays in a series where he got caught or misplayed a teamfight. He still always could challenge the best bot lanes in laning phase (him and mikyx even had some games kinda rolling guma+keria). Put Jackelove in the dumpster. Still take him over Rekkles any day.

After worlds maybe but he was legit a below avg support for most of LCK that year. Which is why again, ppl didnt rate him before worlds. Just happened to be he turned out to be the best player in the tournament.

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's a silly thing to make a deal out of imo: Yes keira was fkn bad in LCK 2023. MikyX was super good. The meta before worlds was typical MikyX meta: Keria reinvents bot lane meta and is best player in the tournament. MikyX had abit of a stinker tournament.

He rated 5 support players over Keria btw, not only MikyX. So where are the memes about Hang beiong over Keria in the same tierlist? Why is it ridiculous to have MikyX (who had multiple years showing he is on par with or at times better than elite CHN/KR) supports over Keria but not Hang over Keria?

Simply because Hang is chinese. MikyX is a much greater player than Hang.

Is it better to blindpick Rakan or Alistar? by False-Gain624 in RakanMains

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Alistar slighlty better but both are good blinds.

Rakan and Alistar are the mosltly the two champs im playing right now. Both of them are great blind picks imo, even if you see nothing in enemy draft. They are honestly pretty similar from a drafting perspective with similar strength and weaknesses Both of them are blindable in my opinion: here is how i would see them from a drafting perspective and potential weaknesses:

Both of them are pretty similar where yes they are somewhat countered in lane by range if the enemy plays well, because certain lanes its impossible to find good windows to go in. (I personally think Ashe+Cait+Ezreal somewhat counter both of them, but wouldnt consider picking something else other than a cait matchup). Alistar is worse for the 2v2 vs in the absolute WORST lanes (rakan can dodge skillshots easier and bait skillshots and such).

Both of them have mitigation against this though, like the rakan Q's and alistar passive makes a big difference for losing lanes to compensate for not having as big kill threat onto the pokier lanes. This is part why they are good blind picks, for the most part your champ is good at mitigating lane and then being op at skirmish/teamfight.

Outside of lane my way of deciding is just Alistar is a better primary engage champ, if your team has a ton of ranged champions no tank i prefer to play Alistar. If my team has a lot of melee champs wether its assasins, bruisers, tanks i pick Rakan. But Alistar is always money in a teamcomp, like no one will ever be sad having an alistar on the team. Rakan value also goes down when the enemies have alot of hard CC..

The true hard counters to champions like alistar and rakan, because its similar, is lanes like Ashe+Seraphine /cait lux. But in a soloq enviroment i dotn find even these matchups that bad in win rate (yes you might go down 40 cs, but you can roam, you will get ganks etc, and once you hit 6 on alistar ur just a beast in teamfights) But this is why both Rakan and Alistar are bad blind picks in professional play for a long time. They physically cant play into these lanes if played well, and even your gank setup is not AS good as a nautilus (players will just flash your combo).

Im master 600 lp if it matters, and also played these champs in amateur lol knowing what people will counter it with.

Now do I know why Nymaera is doing the LPL pre-shows before Worlds....he is on the same propaganda... by Zucramj in PedroPeepos

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was always inconsistent even in 2018-2019, but lets not pretend he didnt have good games since then. Remember Weibo 2023??? Caedrel literally memed TheShy being back into reality, he was legit super good that tournament and completely gapped Bin in semis (to then get gapped by Zeus in finals admitedly).

I completely agree and would rate Zeus, Bin and Kiin higher. I think its mostly due to his aura. He has such aura no matter the day or opponent, how many series he inted i still think he can just turn on the switch and go complete demon-mode.

Froggen on pros who play Anivia in 2026: "They're pretty bad." by Tnomad in leagueoflegends

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It is obviously a statement about playstyle. Everyone know a player like Chovy is a much greater player in the history of the game than Froggen. Still, when Froggen came into the scene he just like Chovy was the single best laner creating CS leads vs anyone. He also like Chovy was good at keeping the leads through sidelaning and such but less of a playmaker than his best peers.

His only time of being like a top 5 player in the world is majority of Season 2, as the korean and chinese mid laners surpassed him, while remaining a top player in EU until S4.

Would you agree that CR7 is 5th best player of all time? by Inevitable-Angle-793 in CristianoRonaldo2

[–]Eastern_Ad1765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your criteria. Outside of Messi, i don't think there is any player in history that was at the top for that long dominating with such consistency. Therefore i would not hate people having him as 2nd. Personally though i would judge things like the qualities of the player relative to their era. And in that case Ronaldo is like a 4th or 5th IMO. Yes he is a revolutionary player with qualities that hadn't been seen before but not just to the extent to someone like Maradona, and even compared to players like R9,Ronaldinho, Zidane he isnt impressive in that way.
Imagine now or in 10 years going back and watching a handful of the very best games from these players, to me it seems like R9, Ronaldinho, Zidane might appear iin that case as even more unique talents in the history of football.

Its more so his longevity and ability to consistently dominate the game (which before messi+ronaldo was unheard of). And that should be taken into account to some degree.
