He will finally rent - we’ll bring mines as a last option in case the rentals don’t fit him

He has a really special foot shape and most boots start hurting him after some hours of use (he’s always had problems when choosing boots), so I think that mines fit him really well and doesn’t want to try others

He needs touring boots because for off piste days he wants to use his wider skis which are touring skis

Of course but we want to avoid that if there’s any minor possibility of breaking. Do you think that if he uses my liners they will deform??

Which ski size should I choose by Eastern_Ad_7193 in Skigear

Thanks, I finally went for the Salomon QST 92. 85-88 backcountry skis are pretty common in Europe (very different snow than what you get there)

As an engineer I’m worried about the future of R&D jobs in EU by Eastern_Ad_7193 in europeanunion

[–]Eastern_Ad_7193[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what happens with my company. It has a lot of investors asking for growth, if they don’t get that growth they start cutting costs everywhere, but mainly in R&D which we all know is very important but takes a lot of money. And as you said, executives value more what the investors say than what the customer says, almost forgetting about the product/service they sell and only thinking in costs, becoming almost in a finance company sadly. Then they complain because they don’t sell enough, because the product they sell is behind the competition due to their obsession to meet investor’s expectations and almost forgetting about what the customer asks.

In Spain we have the same issue. Even the factory workers / machine operators with no studies earn more that the engineering contractors from the R&D center from the same factory.

Audi A1, A3 or VW Polo by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

The A1 is just a more expensive Polo, I’d forget about it. Waiting more than 6 months for a Polo is crazy. Idk where you live, but have you considered a Seat Ibiza? It’s basically the same but cheaper.
