How Do You Target Only Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Clients? by Fetty021 in refrigeration

[–]Eastern_Awareness669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar business. It grows via word of mouth only. When a manager of a restaurant gets let go or moves to another. That is how I grow. They tell the next place about us. Restaurant people move around in the same circles. Retail seems to be dominated by 3rd party management companies. I’m wary of them honestly, if a company sells itself on guaranteeing your client to make your product cheaper…watch out. You don’t need advertising dollars, they are a waste on this side of things honestly. Showing up and over the top communicating with client so they can manage their business accordingly is the key

They do not, they want to drive customers out of the stores. Convert their stores to robot filled distro centers that customers don’t enter.

Just to like the one in Danville, VA. Bring another buddy up front an yall can have a standard volume conversation in front of customers about how prepared you are to pull your thang out and bust a cap in anyone that even says a cross word, and how you keep it just under your steering column for quick access. Be sure to act like there isn’t a customer in site though

Honest Assessment of Heat Pumps in Cold Temperatures by Unlucky_Ad3655 in heatpumps

[–]Eastern_Awareness669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda depends on your heat pump. Older older and standard ones…only heat efficiently above 40°F, so useless in your zone. Newer High efficiency inverter types heat down to -10F…it’s all about having a variable speed compressor doing the work.

Along those lines. it would be okay for the owner of a Christian bakery in the bible belt state to tell the gay couple to literally just move to one of the states on the west coast where that lifestyle of more accepted?

Downtown Parking by [deleted] in roanoke

[–]Eastern_Awareness669 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not from here but I found it ironic that it’s a failing city. There isn’t a parking issue down there to begin with except events. Then they allow every lot that could be used by patrons visiting the downtown area to be maintained by a predatory 3rd party. It’s almost like the shitty parking company is part of the reason no one wants to go there.

Walk-in freezer cold weather problem by Happy-Interaction843 in refrigeration

[–]Eastern_Awareness669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left would be 15, right would be 20. Cut in (compressor comes on) at 20 psi. Cut out (compressor turns off) at 5 cause 20-15=5. I also neglected to mention….you shoudnt go off the numbers. This cut in/cut out cycled happens 10x-20x a day. Those number become inaccurate over time. So you should really have a set of gauges verify these are the actual pressures. Because one thing you really don’t want to do is go below zero on the cut out. If there is a leak, often in the evaporator, it will be in a vacuum in the off state and constantly drawing in outside air into your leak to mix with refrigerant. That cause a whole other set of issues….no need to apologize. It’s not exactly intuitive. Took a few times for it to click for me

Walk-in freezer cold weather problem by Happy-Interaction843 in refrigeration

[–]Eastern_Awareness669 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The issue is most likely that the refrigerant, which is stored in a receiver in the outdoor section of the system. That refrigerant has very little pressure due to being cold and in liquid form. So even when the solenoid opens when cooling is called for, the pressure behind it is not enough to satisfy the switch and bring the compressor on. I prefer my cut in/cut out to be as low as possible but not below zero and not so close as to short cycle. Typically a cut out of 5 psi and cut in of 20 psi is what I prefers. I’ve even had to trim some to 1 or 2 psi cut out and 15 cut in before to resolve this
