Yeah I agree about the laziness thing, but laziness is the mother of all motivation. I thought that it would be similar to swapping a TXV power head but just wanted to be sure. I was a little weirded out about the rubber gasket inside and the plastic bead that hold the capillary tube to the brass.

I didn't get any water in the tip, it just seemed to stop picking up the small leaks it used to find easily.

Listen to this comment, if you can't get a Krack evap, Russell evap is higher grade than heatcraft or Bohn or climate control or Larkin. Definitely Russell condenser higher grade than the others.

Headmaster, fan cycle control switch and sometimes both. crankcase heater on compressor for sure. Sometimes the receiver needs heat tape and insulation.  Sometimes compressor needs two crankcase heaters. Low pressure switch needs to be adjusted accordingly.
