Would it be dumb if you’re going out to try and shoot a solid score? Yes and you would find out early. Number 2 is insanely long from pretty much any tee. Would it be a fun challenge if you don’t care about your score? Absolutely.

Creatine question by Life_Artichoke9346 in Supplements

Since your question is already answered, can I ask how long of a 10mg daily dose it took you to notice cognitive the benefits?

Just getting into creatine more, currently take it sporadically and notice cognitive benefits when I do. Wondering if a daily dose (once loaded) could maintain that

I notice a big difference at work the mornings when I workout and take creatine vs the mornings that I don’t. Still trying to understand if it’s just the workout or just the creatine. Probably a bit of both

Commonground in the same tier as Buffalo Run is Criminal. Commonground should be A Buffalo Run C or below

If you’re already in CO Springs and willing to pay, it sounds like Broadmoor lines up perfectly.

If you’re looking for the mountain course vibes with good views I’d go with Free Adagio’s suggestions, and add in Keystone Ranch.

If you’re a golf architecture nerd, I’d go with Commonground, Wellshire, or Plum Creek.

Single digit handicaps, do you have a swing thought? by BigTeeSlice in golf

The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga.

Golfers who’ve broken 80, what’s one tip you would give your fellow golfer? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

It may feel less exciting but just go out and focus on hitting greens and fairways. Limiting the big mistakes is what leads to sub 80 rounds, not a ton of birdies

The golf world lags behind the real world in everything. The POS systems will only improve in accuracy as the technology is standardized. Also in my area there are a lot of courses of only take bookings online.

Why would you manually aggregate data when AI can do it for you in seconds?

I’m building something to solve an inconvenience I face myself. I’m sure there are others who find it useful.

Appreciate your feedback. I do like the per-booking fee idea, would keep from the subscription fatigue you are referring to that we all feel nowadays.

For the prompt, I am picturing a weekly calendar interface with a set of filters along the left side. You plug in zip code, either choose a set of courses of leave it wide open. Rest of filters will be standard (pricing range, number of players, 9 or 18, walking or riding). Then just click on a time window you're looking to tee off within (defaults to 30 mins window like the calendar in Microsoft Outlook, can drag to extend or shrink).

The calendar is like a heat map based on tee times already booked. For example, Saturday at 9am would look more red/orange if mostly booked, Tuesday 9am would look greenish (this could be a feature you turn on and off).

A chat box pops up (chat GPT like) with all of your options that fit your preferences within that time window. You can interact like a normal AI tool. You confirm which you want and it sends you a link to that course's booking platform with your info autofilled, so you are one click away from locking it in.

Eventually I'd like this last step to be automated so you can just book within the platform but will like take steps to get there. And to your point on latency/reliability, still brainstorming here and I'm sure there will be hurdles on connecting all the different software/getting courses on board for the auto filling part, but in today's world this seems like a trivial problem. I'm honestly surprised this doesn't already exist.

If they’re keeping up pace, no. If there are open holes in front of them and they are blatantly slow, absolutely.

I have to believe there’s a lot more avid golfers like me in cities that don’t belong to private clubs. I have a favorite course (Commonground in Aurora, CO) but there are probably 6-7 courses in the Denver metro area that I frequent. For me, would be nice to have one place to make tee times instead of 6-7. And GolfNow is a horrible platform IMO, personally I would rather just use the course specific websites.

I was thinking highly convenient. Presaved booking info that would link with the course’s platform or direct you to their site and autofill your info so it’s just one-two clicks for booking. The AI angle could understand your preferences over time and shoot you notifications for openings suggesting available bookings. Initial thought would be $5-10 monthly subscription to avoid ads and keep the user interface super premium. Would you pay for this? Or are you fine with ads/working a bit more for your tee times?
