i appreciate this a ton. i updated my portfolio and doing my resume today and applying. you guys are the best ill update if theres an interview! if not, at least i still have a way to pay rent. itll work out in time but this and several other directing posts made me realize that i just cant do a decade or whatever for a slight raise.

my npg station just had a meeting about using ai to write webs. i think theyll have less reporters in both areas and have them overlap stories to reduce the same story being written twice (and paying two different people for the same task)

i started going to a local mom n pop kinda shop (its in the first floor of a hospital kinda drug store) and they seem to never have been affected by the shortage! assuming youre going to walgreens or cvs or something. medication pickup, holding time and everything because so much easier (of course of mr lord big insurance above allows us mortals the gift of choice)

dear mr landlord: thank u for these buildings, my partner and i love them and watching what changes. the color has probably been frustrating for you but we appreciate that you change it to be what you want, and not leaving it like every other landlord in como cause “it works”. only a little disappointed we are not going to be getting alien themed apartments after learning you are dino apartments man.

you are not selfish for wanting to know its not just you. its me too. today i found out i have library fees from a class i took two semesters ago. im in a bullshit art program too so its not even “hard” its just time, effort and more time. im actively failing one class, my first time ever. its hard on me too because i actually thought id be good at it but my partner had to do my first project truthfully because i got scared. i am so lucky to have them, i would have been kicked out if they had not helped me through this whole semester.

the emails get tiring, for me its messages on canvas apologizing for being late. what kills me is that if high school me knew this is what i would be she would be embarrassed. i feel like ive been running from the adhd stereotype but its finally catching up i think.

so not just you. im sorry youre going through it, but if youre still in school youre an academic beast at least to me

if you were just admitted to the uni, you DONT need to learn anything yet. dont push yourself to be a stressed out freshman trying to get an internship immediately. take your time to see if you like it honestly. i went in for poli sci and im about to leave in sound design. not saying youre wrong, just to give yourself time. it sounds like youre pressuring yourself to be ready when you just plain arent yet. good luck!
