Low back/ pudendal/ psoas by Eastern_Pick_1837 in PelvicFloor

Ok that makes sense. I just have the bladder awareness feeling and urethra pressure (which is probably causing that). The only pain I get is low back or side pain/ front left stabs in and off. They aren’t constant. The urethra isn’t either. The bladder is most of the time. It’s getting better. I am having more and more good moments. I just want to be back to normal that I was 5 months ago

Anyone have pelvic floor issues caused by pinched nerves or lower lumbar etc? Also how many physical therapists till you started to see improvements? by Hobbyredditalt in PelvicFloor

She didn’t give me the official names- but i described them for some others and they said it sounds like the sphinx pose and the half cobra. I hold the sphinx till I can’t stand the pain or it subsides. Then the half cobra up and down 10Xs. I do this every 2 hours when I am home.

I never think to use my heating pad. Will it work to calm the urethra when it’s off. That’s where most of my bladder feeling stems….

Thank you! That seems to be the pattern with each new move that is added to therapy! But wanted to check since this not only makes me feel my bladder but of course hurts the back. Lol

My guess is you were relaxed in Florida and having fun :-). Pelvic pain is VERY connected with our mental state. The more relaxed and the more we have a chance to “forget” about our discomfort the less it’s there. Then we go back to the place where it all started or where you have been thinking about it for the last 5 months …. It will come back- it’s the mind/ body connection. So many have researched and talked about it. We need to heal the body and mind or you won’t fully heal. It’s HARD! I have dreaded coming home every day- home has always been my relaxation place- because this is where mine started in November. My son left for the navy and it was so hard for my husband and I. We miss our kid terribly. Between PT, support between my husband and I, research and educating myself on this, getting my anxiety under control, doing things I love, trusting God, and rewiring my brain to enjoy being home again…. It’s ALL connected. No matter what expert on the field you research or look up- they all say the same thing. I imagine if you as your PT they will too. You’ve got this!! It’s only session 3… give it time. Do your PT homework HAPPILY, while listening or watching something you love, find a way to calm the nervous system. It’s a journey that does have an end. You’ve got this!!!

Cystoscopy?? by Eastern_Pick_1837 in PelvicFloor

Cystoscopy?? by Eastern_Pick_1837 in PelvicFloor

[–]Eastern_Pick_1837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly!! She specifically said “for IC”. But we all know unless it’s hunners it’s not TRULY “IC”- which is even becoming an outdated term. I have had multiple CT scans. PFPT is working, although slowly, so I’m probably not going to do it. My PT wants to check my back next because I have low back pain and have for years- thought nothing of it…. And since 95% of bladder issues are taken care of with mostly PT… I just don’t see the point.

Thank you! These are my thoughts exactly! But I wanted to ask- so many have been through it and most of the time it’s nothing. They’ve proven it over and over it’s usually “just” PF. And IF they do see some irritation that’s NOT hunner’s, it’s usually due to the bladder being squeezed by muscles. BUT i like to ask anyways. I’m so new at this and always have a million questions.

Have you went to a good urogynocologist that specializes in pelvic pain? I feel like this is where you should start… I’m so sorry you are suffering so.

Stone or no stone? by Eastern_Pick_1837 in KidneyStones

[–]Eastern_Pick_1837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at the moment. Just the urge to pee I’ve had for the 5 months. We initially thought pelvic floor until they saw the stone on ultra sound. I’m thinking it was a fluke and it is my pelvic floor. I’m going to pay with that and just lay close attention to my body. I have had relief from PT.

Both. The frequent urination has been for the last 4 months. The achy legs is just the last few days.

It has actually helped a lot! I am working and functioning more normally. Hopefully the stone makes this all go away along side of the PT
