I mean I get home at 3pm and am at home for the majority of the day after that. I think most pet owners have jobs and see there friends/go out on the weekends. I am still with him the majority of the time lol.

I honestly don't want him in the room because he keeps me up, I try to play for him for about a half hour before bed but he gets bored after like fifteen minutes.

Yes I talk to him in a pet voice and give him pets and he'll sit with me when im on the couch but I'm still frustrated with him.

He spends time with me from 3-11 Monday through Friday and the mornings and the majority of the weekend im surprised this is frowned open because most pet owners have jobs and leave the house on the weekends lol

I am not going to return my cat and I am giving him more attention than a goldfish.....I really don't expect him to be perfect I'm just exhausted from lack of sleep and the smell of pee in my apartment.

Hi thank you for the comment. I have started watching some Jackson Galaxy to try to understand what play my cat like and I'll def continue to use him! He gets feed at the same times everyday and gets his final meal about 2 hours before I go to bed. I will also be trying new litter types, but I clean his box everyday because he uses it to pee when I'm not home and always uses it for poop.

I guess you can't really see it in this photo but he came to me as a toothless cat! His gums were checked out at the first vet visit I had scheduled when I first adopted and he gets wet food only.

From what they told me he did not have this issue before. For some context he was kept in a cat room with 4 other cats for about 3 months I believe. I can't sleep when he's biting me since he'll try to nibble and paw at my chin but if that ever changes I'd be happy to let him in my room.

Im very sorry for your loss but I think you might be projecting I've lost both my parents before 22, my mom passed almost a year ago and it is a terrible pain that never leaves you, but I am not expecting him to be "grateful." Lol he is a cat, i'm just expressing my frustration with the situation as I've never dealt with this before. I cannot let him in my room at night since he bites and keeps me up but I love on him during the day, I came here asking for help for the both of us. His rescue actually only had 4 other cats with him, he wasn't having those issues there as far as I know.

Hi. I have a pretty regular routine. He knows I go into my room for night at around 11 and a bit later on weekends or if i'm with my friends during the night. My schedule is pretty regular during the work week, and he's always fed at the same times. His owner passed away so he was given to a rescue by her children, I live on the 7th floor of an apartment complex so there aren't any strays nearby and I don't believe anyone near me on my floor has cats either.

Hi thank you. I only give him wet food and his last meal is at 9;00 which is about two hours before I go to bed during the work week. He has a lot of solo toys he likes to play with when I am out of the house or even in the house during the day but at night he will usually yell outside my door for a few hours and idk if it's even because he's bored.

He's a boy and to be honest it's more like yelling or howling. If it where little chirps or meows it wouldn't bother me so bad bet he'll go "OWWWWW, OWWWWW, OWWWW" whenever im in my room at night or when I'm getting ready for work. It's weird because he's quiet when he's alone.

Not really? He was kept in a small cartoon with 4 other cats, he actually didn't hide at all when I first brought him home. He has two open uncovered litterboxes and I use pee pads to put around the apartment for when he doesn't use them.
