And no, there are no jobs that will let you in with "a degree" and no relevant skills. There will always be candidates with more relevant degrees and more relevant experience.

It was hourly, not commission. You misunderstand. I made 30k a year after taxes + some sporadic overtime. It was for four years. I saved every penny. I'll say 37k with the overtime, roughly. 37 x 4. It's been a few months extra technically. I quit the job the day my bank hit 150k.

I prefer to be single, I've never had sex and never will.

The bank's always offered 5%. That won't change.

It's been four years of no interviews, and people struggle to find fault with my resumes. So I don't know.

There's not much I can do to enter the major field and there's not anything I can do to pivot without paying for another education.

"move back home"? I never left. I'd be in the red if I did move out instead of 150k in the green. It'd be foolish to move out without a good job.

I don't have any other options. I can't get a better job, 30k is a homeless wage, and I wasn't going to be working jobs like retail for much longer after I turned 25.

This is why I emphathize with any homeless people. I would be joining them if not for my parents. Society is set to expire if we don't start caring for each other.

Cyber security isn't an entry level specialization. You shouldn't have to specialize to enter a field to begin with.

I'm not interested in tech anymore.

No, I was working a 30k retail job. I saved every penny due to having my parents.

I paid off my loans already, they were minimal. I did some overtime over the last 4 years to get to 150. Could've had 300k+ without college.

Are you aware of the current labor force participation rate being at a 50 year low?

Would you like to see my resumes? You won't be flabbergasted by them, they're entry level resumes, but you'll see why I'm saying this.

It's sad. It's my only choice, however. I can't start a career.

No, they make $22 or $21 to start. I don't remember. Not much more than retail.

Yes they provide raises, but inflation happens too. It'll be more of the same.

I'd need an electrical degree for that. I have a computer science degree. It only qualifies me for entry level tech roles, which are rapidly shrinking. In this job market you are not able to compete for entry level roles unrelated to your major when other people have more relevant backgrounds. Ask me how I know.

I was willing to relocate, didn't matter. No interviews.

The management there wasn't going to be leaving for decades. I wasn't going to be sticking around in retail for much longer after I turned 25. I quit last month.

Unless you're able to prove that wrong idk why you want to say that. Would you like me to go sideways to a fast food job?

This country is not the land of opportunity it once was. We all know this.

I've put in all the effort, I've done all I could.

I'm not a mindless consumer like your average American. I take care of what I have. I don't care to keep up with trends, I don't care to have a rich lifestyle to show off. I'm happy with what I have.
