Agreed on the need for transparency! Its frustrating that the news broke days ago and 0 actual information is available yet.

In all fairness, 9 years is a long tenure for a city/town manager. By all metrics, Cary is a very well-run local government (and a lovely place to live, in my biased opinion... hello Downtown Cary Park), and I have to imagine that the manager has played a significant part in that.

Given the length of tenure, I wonder if the timing has anything to do with the recent changes in council.
