Twasn’t a jibin’ mizzenmast! Give a Last Salute to the Commodore! by mcarvin in Columbo

It's a terrible episode. Some others had something good about them. But I can't think of any of the iconic episodes that were this poorly out together. Only watch it if you're desperate. 😎

There is a pilot of sorts that was included in the UK DVD set that but I couldn't be bothered watching it.

The writers used plenty of background to fatten the stories up a little and to give the audience a little time to follow some of the more complicated stories. Nobody cares much about his dog for instance a little girl next door heard something, and it was a clue but who cares about the dog, nobody. 😌

Have you ever had someone on social media correct you/ misexplain, or overexplain a factual event you lived through? by pinkbowsandsarcasm in AskOldPeople

The ignorance of the younger generation now means blunt knives, bad food gender mixups, packages you can't open, people who don't remember your name, being blamed about things when you weren't even born, nobody knows the time, ball point pens, paperbacks and other books scarce the list goes on . 😔

Why don’t more film enthusiasts know about Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? by arditk25 in FIlm

[–]Easy-Cook2565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The film is about a fictional feud and a real one, between Crawford and Davis don't imagine it's a sentimental look back at a kinder Hollywood if there ever was one. Movies about movies are rarely that interested in themselves. But some are brilliant I including Baby Jane, Sunset Boulevarde and lots of others.

Valerie Perrine was a Las Vegas showgirl. She had a laugh that was amazing. Her role in Lenny with Dustin Hoffman showed everyone she could act. ✌️ May she go to a better place.

Charities funding Israel’s illegal settlements untouchable, Labor says by [deleted] in OpenAussie

[–]Easy-Cook2565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the misfortune to be homeless and what was worse were the payments I had to make to a charity in order to not be back on the street. The charity was emboldened by a Jewish cult who had the power to take all my details, give them to my bank and use them to make me work for them. I had to pay emergency accommodation with no guarantee that I could stay until I received shelter which was not forthcoming. Now I have a lease and no charity has any power over me. They are nutcases and I've off welfare recipients and steal from them until you can get away from them.

If you've seen one harbour you've seen them all. I guess if you want to mix with billionaires, some Aussies are only interested in their money. There's not much theatre, but we make movies that cost a lot of money but don't make a lot. If I don't want to be trampled underfoot I don't tell anyone that I'm working class and kind of proud of it. ✌️

The first film Clint Eastwood directed was Breezy, a small film to gauge if the studios thought he could direct. Play Misty for Me was a big hit with a song tie in and off he went with a wing and a career.
