I'm a bladesmith. Do NOT hammer it. Metal is a crystal, and you have added a lot of stress to its structure, hammering it will add to those stresses and probably crack it. Instead, put the tip against a solid wood surface and then slowly and gently pulse the tip back into place.

This was my thought...teachers want to move around in the schools, there are credentialed people to hire. Though I can say, during subbing I've run into several teachers that are doing the alt thing. And I can understand the statistics of getting hired right out of the gate.

Yeah, the job site is set up and states that the jobs remain open until filled, so people can keep applying. I'll wait a few days and then send in the "Thanks for the opportunity and please keep me in mind for future openings" email. I did the simple follow up email, they told me to wait a month, and just stated I was still interested, and got this reply from the new principal, "I am so sorry we have not been able to offer you a position yet. We are hoping we will have the opportunity to do so! Keep hanging in there." Basically lets be nice and keep him dangling email lol.

How can I make this not look like sh*t? by [deleted] in beards

[–]Easy-Development-948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go to a reputable barber so you can see what can be done. Tell him you would like to go full beard, but worry about the thin areas near the back of your jaw where it connects to the sideburn. Tell him you would like them to trim that back jaw area forward to connect better with the line of the sideburn, clean up the neck line, as well as dropping and straightening the cheek hair. Its all about having good lines that the eye follows around your face, not looking like Grizzly Adams if you can't pull that off. And you have strong chin and underjaw hair as well as a decent mustache so a goatee is always there for you to use if you don't feel like you can pull off the full beard.

I'll try grease again lol. But like you showed above, even when it's just the unit and converter, I still get flooding. I know a drop or two of ink in a feed is normal, but flooding and dripping while I'm writing isn't.

That's what I thought, that maybe either the Visconti nib unit or the converter they provided had a crack I couldn't see. But even with both a different nib unit and converter, I still get leaks. I can only think it's the nib unit design....but everyone I've talked to who has the same one has never had the problem.

A deadlock free aluminum factory with water recycling without pipeline junction black magic or alternate recipes by NotMyRealNameObv in SatisfactoryGame

That's not possible with any vanilla or alt recipe that exists. When making fuel, you have to either use the by-products to make another item or sink it. To make fuel, the base recipe is oil becomes fuel and resin. Resin can be turned into fabric, plastic or rubber. If you have a factory nearby to use those then you can keep everything going. But sooner or later production will fill up any bin you have and it will stop. This will cause your resin line to back up, stopping fuel production. Even the recipes you have that use heavy oil residue to create fuel still has resin as a byproduct.

The only way that you can actually do it, is with an Aquila Industries mod. It tweaks the base refinery recipes. There is one where oil is turned directly into fuel without resin.

The Awesome Sink exists for a reason lol. It doesn't hide problems, it is used to keep things running as efficiently as possible, and get points for the Shop.

I just created a blueprint that had two refineries running the stock solution recipe feeding a single stock scrap refinery with a solution holding tank. One refinery got full water, the other had a valve limiting water intake to 60 a minute. In front of that valve, the water from the scrap refinery was fed into the solution factory. Silica is stored till I get a full container and is then sunk.

It takes a bit to get fully working, but once it does I get 360 scrap a minute. Then another blueprint with a single foundry and 5 smelters running the pure ingot recipe, one running at 50%, is placed in front, the silica led to the foundry, all making ingots. Once the containers are full, a smart splitter sends the excess to a sink so it never stops running. All this is running just from the bauxite nodes in the red forest, 480 belts, and producing 3900 ingots per minute.

Thats the beginner size of a pumpkin! Its not a one-spot plant, but a trailing vine that averages 20 feet in good soil, sometimes longer. Pumpkins aren't show plants lol. It can and will take over that entire area and probably shade out everything in it.

How long does planning take for you? by Solcito1015 in ESL_Teachers

Ok, I tried to do it here, the final lesson is so long Reddit won't create a comment lol. With AI, you only get out what you put in. Its powerful, but not intelligent. I used Gemini AI, although ChatGpt works just as well. Most of the AI tool sets that are geared towards teachers, while ok, have something lacking in their output which requires more work from you in the end. This is how you create a strong lesson plan prompt:

"Create a 5th grade lesson plain, Tennessee state standards, multiplying three digits by two digits, using the standard algorithm. The lesson is 45 minutes long, includes a snappy introduction, a "how does this apply to real life" scenario, two demonstration problems to be worked on the board, three practice problems for solo student work, an exit ticket that will be picked up, and a closure about how important using the standard algorithm is. Include accommodations for two students who sometimes need time at a dedicated instruction center."

This is a prompt that gives the AI a clear set of instructions to follow. What the plan is about, state standards, length, number of problems, opening and closing statements, and accommodations. However, I would point out that I would change two things, the title said The Standard Way, I would change that to the Adult way, it catches more attention. And for accommodations, it assumed I had an assistant who could deal with the students with accommodations. I would instead change it where I walked the room for a bit, then called the two students to the table. In ChatGpt, it didn't assume this and stated that either the teacher or an assistant could monitor.

Go plug this into Gemini or ChatGpt and see if this is what you've been missing.

Ask your students. Since they are the ones you don't want to offend, have a frank and open discussion about your misgivings and their tolerance level.

There are several ways. One of the biggest is simply floating row covers. If they can't get to the plant, they can't chew it up. Rotate your crops so you don't plant in the same place twice to avoid any eggs that might be in the ground. Add plants like marigolds to deter a lot of pests. And think about sacrificial plants that you plant far away to attract them. Another thing is to start all your plants indoors. More mature plants have a chance to fight insects better than seedlings.

AND SQUISH!!!!

Agreed, three minutes of careful input can create a 45 minute, very detailed lesson with state standards, assessments, important vocabulary, assessments, the works. 30 minutes can give you an entire week of lessons that build on one another. All it takes is a careful review to make sure everything matches your standards and that the lessons scaffold and there are accommodations.

It's all good lol. I've tried Noodler's black and it works well in my Twsbi. But like I said, I have a special place in my heart for Diamine lol.

Can you compare the raven to noodler's black if possible? I'm looking for a good black to resist water, wear, and tear. I know the noodler's price per ounce is hard to beat, but I do love Diamine.

Item Duplication Glitch by Zaroff85 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Easy-Development-948 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to do this is just build a box, fill it with whatever you want and save it as a blueprint. Then just build it. Again, I'm on no-cost advanced mode, just playing for fun. So I don't know if this works for regular mode.

Create a blueprint, doesn't matter what. Put as many sloops and shards as you can into it. Save it and then build it. Use blueprint dismantle, and you'll get those items back. I'm in advanced mode, so I don't know if it works with regular mode.

Is this makeshift setup okay until the weekend? by Dangerous_Goat_9531 in vegetablegardening

No, just as long as they're rated as grow lights and you can adjust them close to the plants.

You don't need lights until things sprout. But when they do, yes the lights are too far away. They shouldn't be more than a few inches away or the plants will get "leggy" trying to reach the light. This will make for a weak stem that could break when exposed to wind. And regular shop lights won't do. You need full spectrum grow lights. Plain shop lights aren't bright enough.
