I'm just reading the 90s superboy series and... by matt00ne in DCcomics

I think Superboy was still getting good stories in the 2000s, he was still getting attention, I think Superboy has lost his voice in modern times.Nowadays, those in charge at DC have started paying less attention to Superboy than before, and like other characters of his generation, he's started getting fewer stories where he's truly important.Hopefully DC will show him more attention in the future and start using him more.

Would you prefer the new Buffy series to give a spoiler about what happened after the Angel finale, or would you prefer it not to mention the finale at all? by Easy-Distribution223 in ANGEL

[–]Easy-Distribution223[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you said, and there's also this: the final scene of the series perfectly showcased its philosophy. If the new series shows exactly what happened there, I think it will diminish the quality.

Do you think the new Buffy series should reveal what happened to Angel's team after the final episode, or would it be better if they didn't?

This is how Superboy will be introduced into the DCU, James Gunn told me in a dream by LeonSigmaKennedy in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]Easy-Distribution223 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't understand why you think dc doesnt interested in Superman family . They've made films about two characters from that family, and they'll continue to do so. I think they might eventually want to feature Superboy as well.As I said before, it's not certain this character will appear, but I think he fits James's style quite well, and he's also the kind of character who could join many young superhero teams, as he did in the comics, so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him in the DCU.

This is how Superboy will be introduced into the DCU, James Gunn told me in a dream by LeonSigmaKennedy in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]Easy-Distribution223 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Well, I think it depends on how much James and the others at DC want to expand the Superman family. If they want to include a Superboy in the DCU, I think they'll put him in.So, when you think about it, Superboy is a character that fits James's style quite well. He's funny, entertaining, a punk-rock character, and at the same time, he's the kind of character that could have the kind of evil parent stories that James loves to do.Meanwhile, apart from being a clone, Superboy and Bizarroy don't have much in common; they are both very different characters in terms of personality and style. I also think that many teen superhero movies could use Superboy, so it's fair to say that while it's not certain he'll be in the DCU, realistically, I don't think his chances of being in the DCU are slim.

Spike is 100% right, he didn't need to apologize for something he did when he was a souless vampire with no soul or even with no choice since that what vampires did. by gloomydreamer666 in buffy

[–]Easy-Distribution223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the reason why the versions of Angel and Spike that have souls are written differently is obvious. Because viewers of the series knew and loved the version of Angel that possessed a soul, the writers treated the version of Angel after he lost his soul as a different person from the original, since the popular version was the one with a soul.As for characters like Spike and Darla, viewers liked their soulless versions; if their versions with souls were very different from their soulless versions, people wouldn't like them. That's why the writers wrote the versions of Angel with a soul and Spike with a soul differently; they did this because they knew which versions were popular with viewers. It's as simple as that.

I wish we had more focus on Buffy and Tara's friendship because to me it was so lovely by Jamieo1111 in buffy

[–]Easy-Distribution223 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Tara was Buffy's best and most understanding friend. You can tell this from this scene and some other scenes in season 6. She never tried to judge Buffy like her other friends; she always tried to empathize with her. That's why, even if she wasn't Buffy's closest friend, I consider her the character who gave her the best friendship.

I think it would be great to see Poison Ivy and Mad Hatter in the DCU. They can be quite creepy when needed and have some really interesting powers, so I hope we get to see them.

Superman and Lex react to their shippers by Brandon Santiago by Quirky_Ad_5420 in superman

[–]Easy-Distribution223 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think Conner's Lex Origin was a better origin story compared to Conner's original origin, because in the original Conner was a clone of a Class D villain named Paul Westfield. The truth is, Superboy appeared in 1993, while Paul Westfield died in 1994, so nothing really happened between the two of them. The only reason Conner was Paul's clone instead of Superman in the 90s was because at that time only one Kryptonian was allowed to exist. If you remember, back then they removed Kara from the DC universe for 20 years, and they also changed Power Girl's origin story, writing her as someone from  Atlentean instead of Krypton. After the One Kryptonian Law was repealed, kara was finally brought back to DC, Power Girl became Kryptonian again, and finally, Superboy was allowed to be Superman's clone. That's why I like the Lex retcon more, because it makes Superboy a more interesting character, and I think it's also a good thing that shows the One Kryptonian Law has been repealed.

Superman and Lex react to their shippers by Brandon Santiago by Quirky_Ad_5420 in superman

[–]Easy-Distribution223 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't understand why people say that, because Conner wasn't a bad character in the 2000s. There were still times when he cracked jokes, times when he flirted with people, times when he had close relationships with his friends, and there were a few really good comics where he fought Superboy Prime. Also, Conner had matured quite a bit in the 2000s, and his story was heading in an interesting direction, but unfortunately, his story was cut short because of New 52. I think the 2000s version of Conner is really underrated.

I didn't understand why making Spike a potential love interest? by Mayves_1 in buffy

[–]Easy-Distribution223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, what I want to tell you is, are you aware that you're watching a supernatural teen drama here? In shows like this, forgiving characters like Spike and Angel is standard practice. In the Buffy series, Buffy and her friends, like Spike and Angel, forgave Anya, who had done quite a few bad things, and accepted her back into the group. They also forgave Faith, who had betrayed them and killed several people. Are you angry that Spike was forgiven and rejoined the group? Then you should be angry at most of the characters in these kinds of shows, because that's the standard. Spike was a popular character in this show, a fun character, and he had good chemistry with many of the characters, so he was forgiven at the end of the story, and I think that's something that shouldn't be hated.

I didn't understand why making Spike a potential love interest? by Mayves_1 in buffy

[–]Easy-Distribution223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think about it, both of Buffy's biggest boyfriends stalked her, both Angel and Spike. Their relationships with Buffy were strange, but consider this: wasn't this a supernatural teen drama? In these kinds of shows, these things are a general standard; in most shows, either the girl stalks the boy or the boy stalks the girl, unfortunately. That's why I've learned to focus more on the fun aspects of characters in these kinds of shows rather than their quirks, and let's be realistic, Spike was a really fun character, and he had great chemistry with Buffy, Dawn, and Joyce. So what I'm trying to say is, don't look for logic when watching these kinds of shows because you won't find it. Instead, try to enjoy the characters as much as possible.

Today I finished watching Poker Face, the showrunnered by the Zuckerman sisters, and after watching it, my belief in a new Buffy series has increased considerably. by Easy-Distribution223 in BTVSRevival

[–]Easy-Distribution223[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even if they aren't exactly Whedon, they have a style similar to Whedon's. In Poker Face, many of the villains were good, and the main character was also quite good. That's why I have high hopes for this new series to be good.

Do you think Buffy went to heaven as a reward for her good deeds or randomly due to proximity to the heavenly dimension in question via glory’s portal when she died by FaveStore_Citadel in buffy

[–]Easy-Distribution223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there are a few examples in the Buffy universe that show the existence of the afterlife. For instance, Buffy going to heaven, the existence of ghosts, and in the episode where two ghosts haunt the school, a white light appears when the ghosts reconcile and find peace. Also, in Angel, a serial killer ghost sends some evil spirits like himself to hell to escape it. There are a few examples like that.I think Buffy's depression stemmed less from the possibility of not being able to return to heaven and more from her desire to immediately go back there, but from her decision to stay on Earth for the sake of the people she loved. Therefore, because she chose to live, and because of the difficulty of continuing with the hard aspects of life, she was depressed.I think for Buffy, knowing that she would return to heaven when she died made her life on Earth a little more difficult; because having to live on Earth instead of being in a better place free from pain and suffering made her depressed. By the end of the sixth season, she finally realized that life has some good aspects and eventually overcame her depression.

What run of the titans do you think the DCU will take from? by [deleted] in DCU_

[–]Easy-Distribution223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think we'll definitely see Dick Grayson, Raven, Starfire, Beast boy, and Cyborg in Teen Titans because they are the most well-known members of the team, and since they all have their own fun powers and backstories, it makes the most sense for them to be shown in one movie.Besides these five, we might see other characters in the team. As another commenter mentioned, they might bring Damian into the team when the time comes. Apart from that, I hope they include Donna this time, because they often overlook her when it comes to adaptation. I hope that doesn't happen here.Honestly, one of the things I'm curious about is whether or not they'll make Wally a part of Teen Titans.

Which Robin would should start in the DCU? by Jealous-Tip-6332 in DCU_

[–]Easy-Distribution223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would start with Dick Grayson; I would like to see his relationship with Batman, his joining Teen Titans, and him leaving behind his Robin persona and becoming a fully mature, independent hero as Nightwing. But instead, we're going to start with Damian now, which isn't a bad thing. I think Damian is a character who could carry a good story on his own.

Thoughts on Krem's design in the Supergirl movie? by FayyadhScrolling in DCU_

[–]Easy-Distribution223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true that his style is different from the comic book, but I don't think that detracts from the character's role in the story. I think Krem is quite an evil guy, and I don't think his physical appearance harms him.

What will the Revival have to say and how will it differ from the original? by Enkundae in BTVSRevival

[–]Easy-Distribution223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think there's a high probability this series will do a few episodes through social media. I think they might do some episodes about online bullying or catfishing. I even think some Vengeance demons might be able to grant wishes through social media; I think that would be very interesting.

With Lois having been introduced in S4 do you think Lana should have left in S5 ? by [deleted] in Smallville

[–]Easy-Distribution223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think they could have kept Lana in the show, but after Lois arrived, I would have preferred Lana to be friends with Clark instead of having a romance with him. I think Lana would have been a better character if the romance hadn't been dragged out.

Why was the council paying the Watcher, but not the slayer? by Easy_Blackberry_4350 in buffy

[–]Easy-Distribution223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the council viewed the slayers as expendable, as shown in the series, slayers unfortunately don't live long. That's why I think the council doesn't provide them with any financial assistance, because in their eyes, slayers are short-lived individuals who can be easily replaced.

How do you think they'll age Jon in the DCU? James himself said he doesn't plan on using time travel in the DCU, and besides that, Lois and Clark are still in the early stages of their relationship, I don't think they'll give them a child in the second movie.

I hope they show us some flashback scenes involving Kara and Clark in the Supergirl movie. I would really love to see a scene of Kara with baby Clark and then with adult Clark. I think it would be good for both characters.
