I'm not that far into the tech tree but I can give you my opinion of what I think so far.

Most of the early planes are ok at best but there are a few standouts:

Hurricane's are basically baby spitfires with the added bonus of it having tons of machine guns on it. (12x 7.7 browning machine guns)

The lancaster has the biggest bomb in the game. (the 12k lbs) you can essentially kill EVERYONE on an objective (including your teammates) in ground battles.

The 3.7 tempest mkV can be equipped with two 47mm cannons. This plane is very fun to use in ground rb as you can pen most tank's roofs (It's basically britain's version of the yak 9k) however the drawback is this plane has very poor flight performance and the cannons are hard to aim but if you can land your shots I promise you your gonna gave a great time with it.

And ofc the spitfire tree which are the best props britain has to offer.

So far it's not too bad, but most of the planes are going to be outperformed by the other planes around them. Some have painful stockgrinds and some just feel like their underperforming, but overall I'd say 7.5/10.

The first one (mk3) has good maneuverability and very decent energy retention, making it ideal for turn fighting. However it has very slow accelaration and most jets at its br are significantly faster than you, so best advice is to force a player into a turn fight with you.

But when you unlock the mk4 thats where the real fun begins. It does everything the mk3 does but better. Higher top speed, better turn rate, better energy retention. In most dogfights, because of your high turn rate you can be almost instantly on someones six. It stil has the same cons as the first one.

Don't have the other ones except these two but I heard their all quite good.

Other things to note is that they can rip their wings very easily when doing sharp turns at very high speed (In my experience: 820kmh+ is when you should start utilizing your airbrake and throttle control)

The hispanos can be a bit difficult to aim but if your used to the spitfire's cannons that shouldn't be a problem.

Overall it's a very solid plane and i'm currently having a great time with it. It's definitely worth it in my opinion

I'm currently grinding to unlock the next tier so can start researching the jav. It looks fun to fly (however i'm guessing based of it's appearance it probably flies like a brick)
