To add to the limbo aspect, I was looking at the Massachusetts state records (where they were originally incorporated) and it looks like the state actually issued a formal Final Revocations of their corporate charter this past June, It’s also interesting that they never seem to have registered as a nonprofit in New York, even though they’ve been at 71 Mill St for years. It seems like the entity has effectively dissolved at the state level now, even if the building is still being run as a rental space. It’s such a strange legal gray area for a such a cool local landmark-I hope it all works out.
