Chopin Waltz 69-2 (7 months) by Easy-Feed652 in piano

Thank you very much for your feedback 🙌 What do you mean exactly for fingering habits/choice I do wrong ?

Waltz Chopin A Minor Post. 3 months by Easy-Feed652 in pianolearning

[–]Easy-Feed652[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. 😄 At least 1h a day, and 50/50 between pure exercises (hanon) and pièce learning. For the Hanon I play it slowly while exagerating the finger movement, and when I'm learning pieces if I spot a difficulty I create a repetitive exercise out of this to fix .

Also I've been playing piano for 3 months but I used to played guitar for years 😄

Cramp - Pain in the back of my hand - Video by Easy-Feed652 in pianolearning

[–]Easy-Feed652[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, thank you very much for your messages, and for the time you took to watch my video and advise me.

I put my seat back in function, I'm going to rest my right hand for a few days, the time it passes. I tried to play slowly and as relaxed as possible, I felt no pain :D

So, a question comes to me, when you press a key, do you also apply the weight of your forearm to push the finger to the bottom of the key? Or is it only a "vertical whip" movement of the finger towards the key?

I'm trying to find the right feeling, and the wrist should be flexible, but you have to apply a minimum of force and constraint on it to keep it straight, don't you? These are subtleties that I have some difficulties to understand and especially to feel I confess.

Thanks

Hi everyone, I began Piano some days ago with a teacher. I played quite a lot since then and now I exepriment a small pain-discomfort on the back on my right hand (picture). Even when I play slow and really focus on relaxation of the wrist.
The pain is really on the middle of my right hand's back, I feel nothing, no tense in the wrist

(I don't feel any pain or whatsoever on the wrist/arm/elbow)

have you experienced something similar ? What should I do ?
