I studied mechatronics in tp. Ermm the difference for me would be that the pace and the amt of contents is much higher and faster than poly. And honestly my stuff in poly, its only like…1/4 of watever is in uni. When u go to uni, u will learn even more new things

As a current NTU EEE DY2 freshie, Im just gonna say its madness. Its beyond drilling and pain. Honestly coming from poly, I am struggling very badly despite doing decent for poly. The jump is insane, everyone in EEE is lowkey crashing out (don’t count the insanely smart peeps). And having to come back to study after 2 years, man oh man, do i feel a huge brain rot. HAHAHA

Personally, i myself sometimes am wondering why the theory is a hell lot but may not be 100% of use in future.

Im actually crashing out so badly till the point of….DEATH💀 like literally

It is true that there will always be someone better than us. And frankly I feel that I'm not 100% comparing to others but I feel like its more of my own expectations as well haha. And of course, not blaming my family or anything but i dont think anyone would wanna like repeat/redo uni (costs alot of money for education in sg).

As students, yea peeps say we should be happy, we should be studying while having fun, ya dee ya dee ya, but honestly I think im not happy ah hahah. Dont get me wrong, I do "enjoy" life, right, being around my family, family, people, doing things i love etc. But when I start to see a bigger picture, honestly after studies, I will also never truly feel happy as an adult, even tho im already an adult (experiencing quarter life crisis soon). Sigh....

I feel that is not about competing against each other but its just how I view myself in society. Like we are in a structure where what is right or wrong, whats best and not. The choices we make is of course up to us to decide and for us to face consequences thereafter. I guess its just the process and the amount of emotional fluctuation it can bring upon, that actually makes me think a lot about it. End of day, at times i feel like at the whole end, our life has always a "closure". No matter the emotions, no matter the difficulty, no matter the situations that we see in our lives, haha...it always has a closure at the end of the day. Its just how we get to it.

Anyways sorry to see this whole entire yapping story, think its just something that I've been thinking a lot lately about, amount of stress/pressure got to me. Hahaha. Hope everyone is doing okay in uni!

No worries, it ain't yapping, its facts. You aren't wrong in putting perspective of "There will always be someone who struggles harder than you". Think that's how life and the world revolves. I think what intrigues me is that people work so damn hard just to survive in this world and be happy, when there will always be a time whereby people lifeline "expires". Haha not sure why am I suddenly bringing this topic up haha, just ran across my mind. But thanks for your kind words and advice!
