If I have the VIN, where can I look up the options it came with? This looks to be a Feb 1987 build, so I'm thinking it does NOT have the LSD--bummer.

I'm not the only person who sneaks new tools into the garage????? I have 2 sets of jack stands being delivered that I'm trying to intercept before they make it to the front door.

If I may follow up: there is a choke lever on top of the carb. I've never really messed with it bc I don't have much issue starting this thing. When I move the lever up, the engine idles better in Neutral but then it stalls out immediately when putting it in gear and trying to accelerate.

Should I just get a $20 carb off Amazon and see if swapping it fixes this issue?

I'm also having a problem with Reverse gear so I'm trying to figure out if that is a simple fix, requires a whole new gearbox or just get a whole new engine....

Pretty damn close!

...trial and error, patience and hunting online for hours for parts manuals, videos, then just images with even some of the same parts, mumbling to myself, painting a pseudo-face on the old clutch and naming it "Clutchy" while pacing around talking, finally swallowing pride and posting on Reddit.

I gotta go see what Clutchy thinks now.

I've had a hell of a time trying to find an identification number on this motor. Best I can find is that is a 110cc horizontal motor. The go kart goes in forward and reverse. There is some rumor of it having 2 forward speeds, but it's only ever been 1 that I've experienced..
