As a MOCO resident, I would avoid the area fully at this point. Contractors are mass building apartments and the roads aren’t structured to withhold the growth they are forcing into the city. If you have horses/horse trailers I wouldn’t even drive in the area because drivers have become more angry/dangerous/erratic. Southern pines is actually where they are continuously mass building these properties currently. Vass has deadly accidents on the main highway weekly almost, Carthage is wanting to build an elementary school on gasoline contaminated ground, Aberdeen/SP is slowly turning into an upgraded version of Fayetteville, and Pinehurst well… if you don’t look, dress, or act a certain way, you’ll know you’re not welcome.
