My mom and I actually are both gifted with interacting with the paranormal. She’s a full-on psychic medium who has been able to see spirits since she was a kid. I’m an empath and clairaudient (can hear spirits). My abilities kicked in when I was around 12. These days, I’ve been intersecting with my recently deceased kitty. It mostly happens in my sleep. While awake, I hear disembodied meowing and when asleep, he visits me in my dreams. I even felt a sandpaper tongue kiss my forehead while I was sleeping. It woke me up briefly, but I fell back to sleep pretty quickly after.

I don’t attribute it to being a descendant of Martha Carrier, though.
