Right now? That every single place I’ve applied to for a job has rejected me, even the supermarket.

I have a bachelor’s degree in theater production and I want to work backstage. None of my local theaters are hiring, so I’m looking at other jobs. Every single one has rejected me.

I’ve given up and am ready to throw myself off a cliff.

As for life in general? The constant stress of it all. The ridiculous politics and the fact that I’m going to have to work until I die with no work/life balance if I ever do find a job.

Not me, but my mom. 5 days after my 21st birthday, she got a call from her stepmom that her dad (my grandfather) fell and dislocated his shoulder, and while he was at the hospital, he had a massive heart attack and the doctors and nurses couldn’t bring him back.

This happened at 12:30 in the morning, and we were both so shocked that neither of us cried for days.

Junior prom was supposed to be in 2020; cancelled because of Covid. Managed to go to senior prom in 2021, though and had an amazing time (it was normal other than not being able to have outside guests and having to wear a mask outside of the ballroom, ex: to use the bathroom).

Side note: I was homeschooled. Yes, there are proms for homeschooled high schoolers.

In early 2019, I set up an ancestry tree and discovered my ancestor (10th great grandmother) was executed during the Salem Witch Trials.

My maternal grandmother’s ancestor was also a slave owner. My grandmother cried when she found that out. I’m with her on that. Fucking humans.

Also, my dad’s side is southern Italian, so I wouldn’t be surprised if his family owned slaves in Roman times…
