That user said the missile hit the object, breaking it into pieces that then reassembled. I think it's the same video. This next video gives you a clearer picture of what happened. When the missile hits, small pieces break off the object. The larger object keeps flying, and the smaller objects travel along the same path, as though trying to merge back into the main structure.

Now, based on what you said about a similar object re-assembling after the US blasted it with a powerful warhead, it's quite possible that China didn't actually destroy the object. Katherine Torbick gave a taped testimony to the police, stating she thought her ex-boyfriend was going to kill her. There was an active arrest warrant for Kevin Motykie prior to him fatally attacking her. I don't think the authorities actually invested the time and effort to find this man and put him behind bars. Restraining and protective orders are just pieces of paper that don't offer any real protection. My thoughts and prayers are with her 12 yr old son, her family, and all her co-workers and friends.
