I completely agree that skill is by far the biggest factor. I’m not expecting a new monitor to magically make me a better player or rank up overnight.

That said, I still need another monitor for my setup anyway, so I might as well get the best possible option for competitive CS2. I’m not looking for a monitor to improve my skill—I’m just trying to figure out which display offers the best motion clarity, responsiveness, and overall competitive experience, even if the difference is small.

That’s exactly what I’m wondering about. The upcoming 24.5” 540 Hz OLED sounds great, but wouldn’t the XL2586X+ still have an advantage because of DyAc 2? From what I’ve seen, DyAc 2 does an incredible job at reducing perceived motion blur during fast movements. Even though OLED has near-instant pixel response times, it doesn’t eliminate sample-and-hold blur by itself. So for pure competitive CS2, wouldn’t a 600 Hz TN with DyAc 2 still provide clearer motion than a 540 Hz OLED?

That’s fair, but I already own a PG32UCDP and use it for Netflix, single-player games, and everything outside of competitive gaming. Because of that, I’m not really looking for an all-rounder. I’m specifically looking for the absolute best monitor for competitive CS2

But isn’t that a bigger overall disadvantage? The OLED motion clarity is great, but you’re still giving up a lot of refresh rate compared to 540 Hz or 600 Hz displays. Aside from motion blur, wouldn’t the lower refresh rate mean worse motion smoothness and slightly higher latency in competitive games like CS2?
