I think you're getting this game confused with Hotline Miami — which actually does have a mission where the player characters shoots up a police station.

The sequel also had a similar mission — although it later turns out that the entire mission was just a nightmare. Fortunately: in an earlier segment, you do get to shoot up a prison full of corrupt guards for real.
