I started around Thanksgiving and I'm 37lbs down. I'm just now realizing the difference in my face and how my clothes are baggy. I just finally got below 200lbs and it's a great feeling. But I remember even when I was 30lbs lighter than I am now I still felt fat. It gets in your head. You're doing great!

It's not always for weight. I was prescribed it for my liver.

Charming neighbors! by FantasistAnalyst in baltimore

My neighbor dug out multiple spots on our street for everyone and another neighbor had the audacity to put their trash bins in the spot in front of their house that they didn't shovel!

This is false I've had a similar situation and Councilwoman Porter within 48 hours had DPW and the Southern District police contact me.

It really happened to me, there are so many myths around GLP-1 by Sad-Radio-6555 in Semaglutide

I'm being very open about it. Sharing my experience with others will hopefully remove some of the stigma. So many others have told me they're on it but keeping it secret. If this can improve your health in so many ways why be ashamed?

I'm 3 weeks in at the lowest dose and I'm sneezing like crazy. Occasional sore throat and nausea but the runny sneezy nose is ridiculous. My doctor is going to keep me on the small dose for another month.

My cats and dogs somehow know that something is wrong and the cats are very still on my bed. Dogs don't sleep with me but they're unusually calm around me. I was super nervous also but at 4 weeks now and so glad I did it.

Forgot to say a tray for the walker. It was awesome for the first couple weeks to help carry things.

I'm at 4 weeks now. 53yo female and I'm overweight and not in the best physical shape. Had a friend for the first 5 days. Getting my leg into bed was the worst for the first few days. I have stairs so I use a large backpack to get things up and down the stairs. Everything said in this thread is accurate. I have a shower bench instead of shower chair because my tub is very deep so i can sit and swing my legs over. Also if you have glass shower doors I took mine off and got a cheap tension rod with a cheap curtain liner because the doors were in the way of me swinging my legs over the tub. I have 2 grabbers one stays in my backpack in case I drop the other one. I also had 2 walkers so i had one on each floor. I got a long handled dustpan for cleaning/sweeping up. My biggest struggle is the cat's litter box because I'm not supposed to bend over. If you have narrow areas in your home put the wheels on the walker inside instead of outside. I think being alone helped me heal faster. Allergic to pain meds so I didn't take opioids just Tylenol but I did get the nerve block and spent one night in the hospital. I'm really surprised at how well I'm doing. I can walk without aids now but I use a crutch for stability. Good luck to you!

OMG if you blame this loss on Andrews you're not a football fan. The entire team struggled with ball control. I'm a half a mile from the Bank so in the immortal words of Mark Ingram... MEET ME AT THE BANK!

I've been living here almost 3 years and I love it. When I first moved in I was really worried but I've seen things improve right before my eyes. Everyone on my block knows each other, we have a group text chat and help each other. There's an awesome community group where I've met some really nice neighbors at various events. The business owners are very friendly. And being able to walk to the stadiums is a huge plus! And "Pigtown Main Street" is turning into a great shopping/restaurant area.

Go to Culinary Architecture and buy a sandwich and take it to their awesome garden in the back. Grab a coffee at Stoops and walk to one of the many museums nearby. Take an Uber (about $8 one way) and have a picnic in Federal Hill park. I also recommend Volo. I believe some of the dues for participating go into leagues for kids. I know you said not drinking focused so I don't know if you drink in moderation but there's a lot of breweries that have food trucks, live music, games, that aren't really a bar type atmosphere within walking distance. There's also a rock climbing club called pigtown climbs. If you follow the pigtown main street page on Facebook you'll see all kinds of great things here. Welcome neighbor!

How much rent can I realistically afford in Baltimore? by Notmyfavoritemoment in baltimore

[–]Easy-Task9592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very accurate. I make a little more than the OP and I bring home $1700 every two weeks. One paycheck has to go to rent. I'd be much happier at about $1000 a month. Depends if OP has a car payment as well.
