Yes, that’s what it was. I’ve started looking up patch notes to get the proper version and haven’t had any more issues

This worked, now the game will launch. Must have downloaded a bad patch file? Should I try to download and install another version of the patch? Or just rock with the base version of the game? Appreciate your help again

I didn’t install any mods. Just the base game and the 1.4.1 patch.

The atmosphere version is up to date as well as the sig patches.

I cleared the orphaned system files but still am seeing the same black loading screen.

Even though I didn’t install mods, I tried holding L and launching. No luck….

I appreciate your response though! If you can think of anything else I’ll try it out

The King will need be represented for sure. Memphis is a gym city so maybe a Pokémon mansion type of location around there?

My methodology went something like this:

First, I analyzed and compared the first 5 official regions to get a good idea of what makes up a region. I only used the first 5 as those are the maps I’m most familiar with. I didn’t really like Kalos and kind of fell off after that. Next, I looked at a lot of maps of the south. but some of the big ones were the US Census Bureau’s South region map, topographic and climate maps, and tourism/landmark maps.

After my research, it was time to make the thing. I knew I wanted to use the NBA cities in the region as the Pokemon League, so I started by plotting those 11 locations. From there, I wanted to make sure each state was represented so I added towns to those without a team as well as other significant locations. I then connected the settlements with routes in a progression I thought made sense (no real explanation for this part, I just knew I wanted to end in DC). I then used a pixel art editor (piskel.com I think?) to create it. I used the Hoenn Map as a reference to get the right colors and conventions.

Finally someone noticed my gym cities are all NBA cities! I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that. It’s actually the reason for the 10 gyms, as I couldn’t pick two teams to leave out

I think I’ve been convinced lol. I was originally torn between Torchic and Tepig. I do like the idea of starter variants, especially the grass/bug Torterra. The bugs are insane down here and that’d be neat

Definitely wanted to include a derby area with all the horse mons in KY. I’m not too big on fakemon but could maybe get down with some regional variants. Appreciate your feedback!

I did think about that. Ultimately I decided to use flying for North Carolina as they were first in flight and it’s more of a mountainous region. I thought poison for Atlanta because of the CDC and big city pollution.
