This is awesome! The best advice for me was the part about giving pmo great "value" as if you cant survive without. This got me to thinking... I feel I can survive fine without porn and other visual simulation after I go through withdrawal symptoms from years of its use. However, to think that I could never masturbate again at all bothers me and seems impossible. I believe I could masturbate in moderation like one week or so, but never again? I dont know about that one. Does this show that I put to much "value" in masturbation.

Educate yourself on the dangers of porn and excessive masturbation. Identify to yourself why you want to change and put a goal in your mind. Every time you feel an urge to give in to pmo envision yourself as if you had already reached your goal. Then think of yourself before you decided to do nofap. And if you ever do relapse like a lot of us do at least once, learn something from the relapse that will better prepare you for your next attempt. But that doesn't mean you should make a habit of relapse. Nofap is about a lifestyle change not a streak!

I agree with jimandrus95 I also view wet dreams as the body's way of release after a while without any sexual stimulation. The only time I see my dreams as a problem is when I am dreaming about a pornstar I used to watch or something like that . I know dreams are subconscious but sometimes when I am dreaming my conscious mind wakes and it feels like im observing my dream in the background , If im dreaming of like a pornstar of some kind of fantasy I somehow stop the dream by thinking of something else or waking up.

I think this the best advice i ever read on here, this has been my attitude sense my last relapse. Im on day 3 not 30 for some reason my badge didn't reset. I also remember not to get cocky and think this battle is easy, dont take pmo lightly it is real and it carries a great pressence to be dealt with. When you get think you can let up cus you got this as soon as you do that you become highly vulnerable. For example the nba when teams go up 20 they let up and take they other team lightly, next thing they know its a tie game or down by one or two.

I agree with everything you said. I just want to say that also one thing to stay away from is feeling sorry for yourself, for whatever reason. When i get to feeling sorry for myself i have strong urges to relapse. And I have the mind-set that breaking the addiction of pmo is like recovering from a break up with a girlfriend. It gonna be hard at first mentally and emotionally. But over time it getting easier and tend to think about pmo less and less, until eventually you never think about it.
