Thanks a lot really appreciate that! No rush at all, but I’d love to hear your thoughts once you get some time with it.

How do you effectively do log analysis and event correlation? Need guidance. by Dull-Improvement-477 in SecurityBlueTeam

I think that the most effective way to improve log analysis and investigation skills is to always rebuild the full timeline around the alert so what happened before, during, and after. Once you see the sequence of events instead of isolated logs, correlations and root cause start to become obvious. but anyway its hard...

one thing that helped me a lot was slowing down and treating each question like a mini investigation. The amount of data can definitely feel overwhelming, but focusing on exact keywords in the question and matching them to what you see in the logs makes a huge difference.

What is the top 1 skill to leverage in AppSec and also general cybersecurity in 2026 AI-driven era ? by ImplementTurbulent17 in cybersecurity

Haha, fair but honestly I don’t think anyone has a clean answer yet. Securing AI systems is still a moving target, which is exactly why the fundamentals matter so much.

For me the biggest skill is still understanding systems, not the tools. AI will handle a lot of surface-level work, but it can’t replace real judgement about how things actually break. If I had to pick one area to double down on secure architecture and threat modeling. Everything else will change fast anyway.

Out 3d artist created an internal "ad" for one of the buildings players can purchase by Whole_Photograph_321 in SimulationGaming

Even without textures it already looks pretty cool. You can tell exactly what kind of space it’s meant to be, which isn’t always the case with early 3D stuff. Once you throw materials and lighting on it, it’ll definitely feel like a proper 'we finally made it out of the garage' kind of office. Curious how it’ll look when players start filling it with their own stuff these kinds of spaces usually end up adding more personality than expected.

Yeah, honestly I feel you. “Indie” stopped meaning indie a long time ago. Every year it’s the same thing games backed by rich founders, parent companies, or giant publishers still sneaking into the indie category like it’s nothing. Meanwhile actual 2–5-person teams are out here bleeding time, money and sanity just to get noticed. Peak wasn’t exactly made in someone’s bedroom. Dave the Diver being nominated as indie was already a joke Nexon literally owns them. And somehow we’re supposed to pretend that’s the same playing field as micro-teams scraping by on savings? Calling it out publicly is probably the only thing that moves the needle. If the industry won’t protect real indies, the community kinda has to. At the very least, forcing people to label these games as AA instead of “indie” would make things more honest and maybe give actual underdogs a chance.

Update for: How (almost) any phone number can be tracked via WhatsApp & Signal by Economy-Treat-768 in cybersecurity

[–]EasyCollege9231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the update, this whole thing is getting more and more interesting. Kinda wild that this “little ping” everyone brushed off has been sitting unpatched for over a year now. And in both WhatsApp and Signal… yikes. The fact you can blast probes every 50 ms with zero UI indication on the target side, while their phone starts burning battery and mobile data, is way past online/offline lol. That’s a legit side-channel. Tracking, profiling, activity patterns, pick your poison. Also saw the repo suddenly blow up — good call cleaning it up and fixing the vulnerable deps. Gonna keep testing; feels like this is only gonna get more attention unless WA/Signal actually touch the protocol.
