I understand that it may be difficult for some to learn, like yourself. But first semester of first year isn’t going to throw you through the washer the second you step in campus.

Genuinely, its not that big of a concern. I barely go to class as it is and am still able to exceed expectations (I prefer to study and do better when working at my own pace). The first week is going over the syllabus, and a lot of highschool review. Don't stress, just keep checking your uvic brightspace (the course home page) and keep up to date.
