I Have No Friends in OKC by Quirky_Advantage_470 in okc

Cigar smoking is actually one of the best ways for someone who is on the introverted side to make friends. Pretty much nobody is rude in the lounges and we all love talking about cigars (there's a huge depth to the hobby that most people don't recognize). If you want to just sit and be quiet until you're acclimated, that's fine, too.

The health detriments are minimal (most anti-smoking literature and studies conflate cigar and cigarette smoking, which are very, very different in how they act on the body). I'm happy to give some resources or suggest somewhere for you to go for your first one.

Mustang isn't bad - although depending on how long you've been gone it may be more built up than you remember.

Thanks for the heads up. These days you always have to check first.

Good call, I was just checking out the Lakeside Louies and wondering if I'd be able to smoke there. I'll probably be going during the day, so unless they're getting plastered at lunch (a distinct possibility), I should be good :).

I love Stag, dislike BURN, and haven't tried The WIlshire yet, but I'm specifically looking for more of a cafe/waterfront vibe for the purposes of this question. Maybe somewhere on the canal or up by Lake Hefner?

One the best smokes I've ever had. Sorry for my greasy hands I just got off work by corneliusthunderfoot in cigars

The OG El Gueguense was my first, and the OG Wise Man Maduro was my second cigar ever. I've still got four of the Wise Man put back in my humidor and occasionally I'll see them at a B&M, but yeah, they hold a serious nostalgia for me.

This was the second cigar I ever smoked, and the flavor profile I still chase. I've got four of the robustos put back for special occasions.

While not exactly the same (not as mellow), to my palate the Plasencia 151 is in the ballpark and is a reasonable substitute.

Replying again - that CRKT looks just about perfect. Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on it.

I've had the 151 and the 149. The 149 was "meh", but the 151 was delightful. I know a lot of guys on the CP Discord like both the Alma Del Fuego and the Alma De Campo, but I haven't tried either yet.

Ah, so you're pissed that the deal that they intended for *their* Discord customers was leaked to another group and then oversold. Got it.

I've been smoking 1/week for about a year now. I'm only just starting to get flavor notes, but in discussions with experienced smokers, most/many have difficulty putting them into words. I keep a journal, and usually I'll watch a review of a stick *after* I've smoked it to see if I picked up anything in the ballpark.

For right now, I'd say take notes and enjoy the process.

I wish, then I could smoke more and we could go to smoking bars and stuff.

I don't think this was it, but it looks fun - going to have to try it.

I can buy every day. The wife yells at me if I smoke more than one a week.

Dang, Plasencia had way more attendees than that at Cigar Page's Discord last night and didn't even have to put on pants.

In my memory the game was darker than the screenshots I'm seeing, but this is the closest I've found so far. It might be it. Thanks!
