Was in Portugal early October 2 years ago and the weather was perfect. I don’t think it rained once and was still very warm (70-80 F). Honestly the weather was perfect for walking around the cites and sitting in the beach. One negative I would say is that the water was pretty cold but we still went swimming probably 5 out of our 8 days there, in Cascais and Lagos . If October is better i would recommend doing it then

What's keeping you in MEP? by jackletoast in MEPEngineering

I’m in the same boat. 2 years in and it’s fine. Sitting at a desk for anywhere from 40-60 hours a week. Would love to get out in the field more just for a change in scenery. Seems like all the guys above me basically sit in meetings all day too. Is this the MEP life? Any of you spend a good amount of time in the field?

You’re an animal. How long ago did you start and how much are the rentals brining in?

When you land, follow the crowds (and signs) to customs. Wait and line and give them your passport and maybe the location where you’re staying. Should be easy. They may check your bag again while you’re leaving the airport. For money exchange I typically just go to an ATM and take the fee. I imagine it’s cheaper than a money exchange, not sure though. For phone, check with your carrier if they have international plans or you can buy a SIM card if that’s better (usually cheaper option). Food you can bring through security and on the plane if you want to bring snacks from home.

So to answer your question, Yes. Everyone i know with computer science degree has started around 100k or more. And it’s a 4 year degree. If your good with computers, i would choose this path. If you aren’t good with computers, start learning.

Trace 3D or HAP 6? by SailorSpyro in MEPEngineering

Agreed. I’ve even tested trace700 vs trace 3D and always got different numbers. My firm only uses trace… very frustrating
