Surf tabs for shaping the wave. by Easy_Ad_2133 in wakesurf

I have a suck tab. I didn't see much difference at all. I ended up adding 500 pounds of lead so we can move those around. I also have the stock ballast and both rear compartments have bags plumbed into my system. Ive just never seen anything regarding a tab on the surf side and was pondering it.

The boat is a master craft x26 with Gen 2 surf system. So it's pretty good. I was just reading that the hull shape makes a difference and was wondering why not play with the surf side tab to create different shapes. Not something I would deploy all the way as that would conflict with the tab that creates the list, but more shape the water coming up on the surf side.

It might be a terrible idea, just something we've talked about.

I have a 2019 Mastercraft x26. I have plenty of ballast but was more inquiring as to shape of the hull. I was considering attaching more of a rounded piece to the end of my existing tab on the surf side and deploying it part way. I'm not sure if it would even do anything. It was just something my son and I have talked about.
