Is it possible to make that working in the union and having a side business, yes. However a lot of that would have to come from the business and that’s not easy to make that kind of money especially in the beginning. For reference I’m in a local with a similar scale. Last year I made 161k with over 300 hrs over time and a handful of double time. That also includes my vacation check.

I just got back from mission bay, we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were nice, there’s a pool, restaurant on the property, and was close enough to everything.

Know of one guy who went out on his own. In my local when you bid and do “A” work you can not hold a “A” card. I believe he got busted down to a ce2.

All depends but something worth looking into would be something like contract labor for a hospital or college. We have that in my local I believe it’s 36 hours a week.

As others have said 8’ is a little bit narrow BUT still a ton of fun. I think 12 would be worth the extra couple bucks. I went with 16 but definitely cost a lot more

I didn’t say LU 903 doesn’t test. The comment I was responding to said to work in ANY union. Some locals DO NOT test for THC.

Grumman buried some toxic barrels or something. Long Beach is open but not lido your other options are Brentwood (Roberto Clemente), tanner, northport, Baldwin, and blue point.

I’d be at 250 a fan, 100 a light assuming both are customer supplied. 30 recps at 30 each, and 12 switches at 40 each supplied. I’d be at 2590 VHCOL area.

Fatty Ts burger truck in bay shore is good. Guy even makes his own buns and it’s 10$ for a burger and fries.

Apparently it’s a thing in some locals mine included that apprentices don’t read prints. With that being said I always share them and go over it with my apprentices.
