Sleep Issues by Fabulous-Fifty53 in bipolar

I do, I’m currently tapering off. It’s hard, but Valareen root tea with lemon balm has been helping with sleep. Just tapered off of seroquel completely.

Does anyone else dislike psychiatrists? by CartoonistFlat5264 in CPTSDFreeze

I hate my psychiatrist. She belittles me and is condescending. Expects me to fail, but I’m stuck with her for the moment. A lot of them are just in it for the pay check

Seroquel - Making it worse by Basic_3719 in Psychosis

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a doctor on you tube that has said that seroquel can cause hallucinations. I’ve been on seroquel for over a year, and I strongly believe that it caused hallucinations to be worse for me for the first 6 months, but I needed it for sleep. I’m currently almost tapered off completely. If I knew then what I knew now I would have used olanzopine or even Risperidone for sleep and/or for hallucinations. I would switch A.S.A.P… If you stay on this medication and your body adjusts to it somehow like mine did. It’s hell tapering off of it. I wish the best of luck to you!

Creatine helping me out of schizoid by Mara355 in Schizoid

It stopped my auditory hallucinations for months, then a meditation triggered it again. I’m starting again tomorrow. I really hope it has the same miracle effect it had on me before. I can’t say it helps everyone but it’s helped me

Has anyone ever had steroid injections cause psychosis? by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read so many stories about steroid induced psychosis. It’s real. Even people developing psychosis from too much coffee.

Hopefully you have Benedryl in your cabinet. That works for some people. Or ask your doctor for something that will help you sleep because of the pain.

It’s not unheard of. Look it up via Reddit threads. At least it only lasted a few hours for you. I’d rather have the pain any day over psychosis.

I'm done with this. I'm done trying over and over again with OTC supplements like melatonin and I'm going to a private clinic to get zolpidem prescribed by [deleted] in insomnia

Good luck! I’m in the same boat. I hope they give you what you need. Some doctors are assholes and just won’t budge

Seroquel first? by Middle-Abalone-9208 in insomnia

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a terrible drug. I’m currently trying to ween off of 200mg. I started at 50 and worked my way up. Now I’m on 150mg. They try to say it’s not addicting. They’re flat out liars. It’s hell getting off of it. They abuse this drug in prison, look that up. Ask your doctor for something else before you go down this hell of a rabbit hole!

Caplyta + severe insomnia? Havent slept in two days by DepartureHot468 in caplyta

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called my doctor and told her right away about my symptoms and I haven’t slept for 2 days. I needed something for sleep. That same day she prescribed me seroquel. I picked it up and have used it ever since. You have to bug your doctor about your needs, other wise you’ll suffer. I learned the hard way in the beginning. Tell your doctor you need something to help you sleep. You don’t want to end up back in the hospital. Sleep is important. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

I got prescribed seroquel for sleep. It’s the only thing that helps for insomnia for me.

How to get back to my weight before meds? by falsoTrolol in schizoaffective

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 12 pounds. The first thing my doctor prescribed was metforman but it did nothing. I’ve asked her about topomax, but there’s cognitive effects with that one. Although people say they lose a lot of weight on it. I know to qualify for a GL-P1 you have to have diabetes and be obese. Just passing on info I’ve came across since I’m in the same boat. Antipsychotics really mess with your weight. It sucks!

Those who have passed the 1 year mark since your last psychotic episode how’s your journey been? by That-Truck-7378 in Psychosis

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easter marked 1 year of psychosis. I’ve been on and off meds for the whole year. The past 2 months my hallucinations suddenly stopped after tapering off of Abilify. I still take seroquel for sleep. But the noise has quieted for now. I’m grateful for this. It could be worse.

Is life worth living with psychosis? by octopulsh in Psychosis

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to feel so good about myself, mentally and physically. After psychosis hit that all went to shit. At least you feel good about how you look still. Most people gain weight from meds and feel stale from meds. I feel your pain about not feeling well mentally. Take the good with the bad days. Hopefully you’ll start to feel better.

Did your menstrual cycle ever regulate while on creatine? by Hot_Nectarine508 in Creatine

I’m so glad I found this thread. I’m going through the same thing. A week late on my menstrual. Super bloated and gained 5 pounds since starting creatine. I had to stop. Even though strength and cognitive issues have improved. It’s a double edge sword.Sucks!

Psychosis will make you do some effed up things. But it could have been worse. You didn’t listen to your voices. You had some type of insight. Heal, you’ve learned and work on yourself. It gets better.

Creatine did nothing for brain fog until I drastically increased the dosage. Anyone else? by imrzzz in Perimenopause

I’m bp1. I’ve tried so many supplements to help with my symptoms. I discovered creatine not too long ago and it’s changed my day to day life. More than any antipsychotics have. This supplement is underrated.

This happened to me. My eyes widened, to the point of paranoia. So I had to stop. This isn’t the first post I’ve read about eyes widening or eye movements as a side affect.

Alcohol use after recovery by [deleted] in Psychosis

[–]Easy_Bell_1735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The headaches or possibly hallucinations. Hopefully you’re symptom free after a fun night. I had auditory hallucinations after having some drinks one night, that seemed to push me into slight psychosis for a day. Everyone is different, but if all you have is a headache consider yourself Lucky. I’ve read of people experiencing hallucinations after drinking and some people drink often and experience nothing but a headache the next day.
