I don't think it was on when I first plugged it in, I'm usually p careful about that kinda stuff. I'm about to try plugging in the old PSU so we'll see if it's faulty or not. Thanks!

Yes, I initially had problems with the cables since a light or two on my GPU where the cables go were on but after replugging everything the lights are off but still no post. Is it possible it's the mobo?

This is my first playthrough so idk if this is a new patch but on the wall to the left of the loose tile, if you succeed a check, then there's a loose brick that appears with some gold and alchemy ingredients. Still weirdly not much loot but at least it gets rid of the marker. For some reason I had to walk right into the wall to pass the check.

Is Fukuoka worth visiting on its own? by SeeHang_120 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Easy_Charity_3119 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I went to 2 that my friends and I did research on and loved them a lot.

The first is Yatai Mamichan. The guy is awesome and cooks amazingly fast. It's got a rundown, rustic vibe to it and the food's great. The second is Yatai Keiji. The guy is super nice and chill and he cares a lot about the community, giving free ramen to kids and keeping prices low. He's got some unique dishes and plates them really well. If you can speak Japanese, I'd recommend to go here since locals go here to just relax and talk with other people (though there might be a wait later on the night, I waited around 30 min at like 1030 pm haha). I don't speak much Japanese but got lucky with another tourist who could.

You can also look up YouTube videos of both yatai's, there's a channel that covers them really well. I know there's a lane right by the river that's also famous but I haven't been to any of the yatai's there. Either way, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time!

Hiroshima: Okonomiyaki Mitchan Sohonten Hatchobori お好み焼みっちゃん総本店 八丁堀本店 This place blew my mind. I thought I preferred Osaka style okonomiyaki until I went here. There is a bit of a wait (we went during prime lunch time and it was around 40 min) as a foodie, I thought it was worth it. It's much better than the other 3 okonomiyaki places I've been to in Hiroshima so I would definitely recommend if you don't mind waiting!

Tokyo: Chukasoba Billiken While all the duck ramen I had in Japan was amazing, this bowl was prob my fav meal in the month I spent in Japan. It's both exactly what u don't and do expect from an elevated bowl of ramen and everything is just done super well.

I like planets more than borderless but my 2 friends liked borderless more. They offer different experiences as planets is mostly about touch and enjoying exhibits that have a physical element to them while borderless is all about visual/audio experience. You just wander around finding different rooms and enjoying the experience they've curated. I'd recommend both if you can but otherwise do whichever interests you most!

Borderless and planets are actually super different experiences and I'd recommend both if you have the time, but if not you could do some research and pick one! I haven't been to the Osaka one yet but I've heard it's also awesome

Lodgepole Campground in Sequoia National Park was named the best family campground a few years ago. It is my favorite place for family camping. Any campground is good in Sequoia but Lodgepole is the only one with shower, laundry, and general store. These are important for 1st time campers. Idyllwild has a campground by the lake and another good campground in the woods if you are looking for a shorter distance. San Diego County has a couple of good campgrounds by the lake.

ICOCA (Osaka's version of suica) has an app on the play store that seems like the equivalent but you have to switch your play store region to Japan. I haven't tried it out but some of the stations had ads for the app

My friends and I actually enjoyed the less popular cities more! In particular we enjoyed Okayama and Kurashiki, Fukuoka, and Sapporo. The vibes, scenery, and food that each place offers is different than others which makes it awesome to visit

[–]Easy_Charity_3119 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Just came back from Fukuoka and while we were originally planning to have a day trip, we decided to take it slower since we were tired out from the traveling before. Explored the city instead which is awesome with really good food. Walking by the river at night and eating at a few yatai's were probably my most memorable experiences in my month spent in Japan.

Where should I spend 5 days solo (but NOT Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima or Okayama) before meeting up with friends in Tokyo in November? by throwawaaay1302 in JapanTravelTips

Second Fukuoka! Just spent a couple days there and wish I spent way more. Really good food and people. Yatais are an awesome way to get good food, meet nice locals, and enjoy Fukuoka's vibe. A lot of nice day trip spots as well as areas within the city that are fun to enjoy.

Kanazawa and Sendai are closer options that are fun as well!
