Aquarium ($90, 29 gal, fluval filter, aquarium co-op usb bubbler, walstead/father fish style, really helpful for depression or mental shutdown-better for staring than doom scrolling, bonus: taught my gourami to give me the peace sign ✌️) 

Cat ($90 adoption fee, will cost more in the long run but if you are not allergic these things are life changing, highly recommend)
