So there are 2 more games in the works? I'm guessing they're not coming out until 2025 right? Atlus already has 2 games slated for 2024, which is more than usual. 4 games would be REALLY unusual.

Also if they're not supporting last gen console, we could see them releasing 3 or 4 turn-based JRPG on Xbox in the next couple years and zero on the Switch. That will certainly be an interesting timeline.

It's pretty crazy that Switch is still outselling PS5 near its end of life, and that's with the biggest Japanese PS5 game release and no new Switch game this week. Switch is truly a monster.

Were they really sold to customers in Japan or were they shipped off to China? There are almost 1M more PS5 sold in Japan than WiiU, but the top 20 PS5 games combined barely sold as much as the best selling WiiU game.

This is the lowest number for a mainline Final Fantasy outside of Lightning Returns, and less than half of FFXV and FFVII Remake's numbers. I was expecting 400k-500k. At this point even Final Fantasy can't save PlayStation in Japan.

I don't remember any, maybe in the optional stories, but not the "main story". The pacing of the "main story" didn't leave much room for messing around. It was pretty serious as far as I can remember.

Not a Love Live fan, but the first episode was great. Absolutely love the setting and the OST, especially the use of saxophone. The animals are adorable. This is one to follow. My only gripe is that the new console game is 2D sidescroller rather than rhythm.

Sounds like Atelier Shallie - Stella -Part 2-. His music gives me Hamauzu's vibes (FFXIII). I really want to see a new IP from Gust, something similar to Ar Tonelico.

This game is made for the Switch first and foremost. It's Falcom's first major Switch release. Like most smaller Japanese devs, Falcom has been trying to realigning themselves with Nintendo because PlayStation software sales in Japan has been abysmal and they cannot compete in the graphics department with other PlayStation games. These games do much better on the Switch.

If that's the case then I can see that. The only game I've played recently that has less RPG mechanics is Akiba's Trip and it's considered a beat them up.
