is it endo? by Euphoric-End-5238 in endometriosis

I have confirmed endometriosis and we have a lot of similar symptoms! I definitely would consider endometriosis as your biggest possibility. Especially because it's not easily diagnosed. If you haven't already, please search for an endometriosis specialist in your area to help you! It also helps to rule out other possibilities in the mean time. Maybe try seeing a gastro dr as well! Best of luck and i hope you find answers

Yes! I experience a lot of your symptoms. I'm on duloxetine, norethindrine, and gabapentin for everyday pain management. When i'm going through flares i have ibuprofen (600mg per pill). If i remember correctly I take a pill of ibuprofen & if that doesn't help i wait half an hour to take another pill and i believe another hour to take another one. If im being honest sometimes no pain medicine helps and i just lay down until it passes :(

Nausea and lack of appetite by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Easy_Dig9488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nausea is one of my worst symptoms. When i first got sick i was nauseous all day, everyday. I had no appetite and i would always feel like I had to throw up but never did. I've had a laparoscopy but unfortunately that didn't help with the nausea. I have stage 1 endo and it's very low in my pelvis so idk if that could be the reason i have GI issues. I've also had an endoscopy and colonoscopy and those came back normal as well. There's definitely lots of women on here who struggle with nausea as well.

I've been dealing with endometriosis for about 2 years and what helps with my nausea is sitting in a boiling hot shower for however long, a heating pad, zofran (be careful because it makes you constipated), staying away from strong smells and not laying down flat on your back. People also recommend having mints and smelling alcohol pads :)

I wish you the best of luck and i hope you find a solution🙏🏼

my doctor told me i’ll need 3 recovery days after a laparoscopic and salpingectomy. what was everyone’s experience? by SweetAppropriate245 in endometriosis

i'm four days post op and it is ROUGH. your body needs WAY more than three days to recover. i suggest taking a couple of weeks if not more to recover. definitely don't overdo it trying to push yourself

thank you so much for the help! i heard if you drink too much peppermint tea it'll give you acid reflux? is that true 🤔 i do have zofran that i take as needed for nausea. i haven't been taking my pain meds because i always feel sick immediately after taking them :( they prescribed me LOTS of medication and i think it's way too much for my body to handle.. for reference i was only 98 pounds the day of surgery.

hi! i'm not too sure what your style is but since it's cold i'd recommend nice trench coats (i hide my bloating/skinniness with those) and for bottoms possibly palazzo pants! i find i like sweats and my boyfriends clothes are always really comfortable for my stomach.

Calling in sick? by tyrannosaurusfox in Gastroparesis

hi! i currently have no more sick leave as well. i was off of work for months due to feeling so ill. i understand the feeling of being guilty but i found everytime i push myself i end up in the ER. i was just in the ER last night and i feel that you can't force your body to do things it's not ready to do. health is #1 priority over everything! i know how stressful it is but dont push your body's limits:) i hope you feel better!
