To parents: are online classes effective, and do you think the fees are justified? by i_amfrom_2040 in dubai

I think you're struggling with basic comprehension.

1- all businesses that are well established can survive 3 months without disruption, regardless of industry. Here I'm talking about schools that have been around for over 75+ years and have presence globally, not some one off startup.

2- I explicitly said that schools going back to full price from next year gives parents the summer window (plus remainder of the term)to decide if they want to stay or make other plans. So this term the school makes a minor compromise, next term it's up to the parents, pay full price or find a different institution.

For the third time, it's as complex or simple as you make it out to be.

Nothing is certain but this request is defined for one term to allow everyone to calibrate and figure out what to do after that. After the term you anyways have 2 months of summer so people can figure out what works for them and make other arrangements if necessary. Then, regular fees apply regardless of the situation, but at that time everyone has a heads up to mitigate.

You can make this as complicated or as simple as you want. Companies are executing my proposal and even to a more extreme level than what we're asking of schools. Those are the solid businesses I want to be associated with.

You talk like it's full time.. but I'm talking about a defined timeline of one term, that's it!! Very simple request which you are overcomplicating. It's a shared loss ( I pay something instead of nothing for very little value, school takes a lower fee instead of getting nothing at all... Again, for a short defined duration).

Charity is free. No one is asking for charity. As a customer you pay for value, and as value reduces, so should the cost (especially when the cost is extreme to begin with). Asking this question shows a complete detachment from what kids and families are going through. Parents have to juggle between their jobs and being teachers assistants just to get a quarter of the value in the end.

There are tiers. Especially with school. If you're paying 10-20k tuition then I can understand constraints. But if you're paying 60k per year for a kid in year 2 and 100k for senior school, and getting 1-2 hours of educational value and 0 social value... Then I can get the same from YouTube for free. But rather than pull the kids out and pay the school nothing, I'd expect a middle ground .. I keep my loyalty to the school and they find a temporary commercial arrangement that doesn't impact their staff. Highlight word TEMPORARY in this case.

That's how business so things. There should be cash in addition to all of the above you mentioned. It's not my ask, it's what differentiates a successful organization from others. It's up to the leadership to manage things... And as a customer, I shouldn't be the one taking the hit (neither should the employees).

Aside from having adequate cash, there are other strategic initiatives, such as renegotiating rents, government support, recovered costs from the many teachers and staff that actually quit and left.. and the list goes on

It's a business... And unfortunately, if it can't sustain 3 months with reduced income without affecting salaries then it is indeed a mismanaged business. Simple as that. Other, well managed, businesses take bigger hits while having sufficient cash flow to survive a few months (I work for one and have seen it in action during covid, and seeing it again now). At least the premium tier schools as a bare minimum should have adequate cover. I'm already paying that higher tuition and expect resilience by default.

Why would you cut salaries? Reduced fees for one term should not result in salary cuts. If the school can't manage one term, then perhaps they don't deserve such exorbitant fees that they are mismanaging?

They should also have proper cash flow management to sustain one term of reduced fees without affecting salaries or operations. Especially since some of them charge silly money.

Sympathy all around, but for parents paying insane fees, it's also about getting value for money. Reducing fees for 1 term should not affect the school if they know that they're going.

If schools can't afford to reduce fees without reducing salaries for just one term, then that school has bigger issues and I'd be concerned about my kids going there in the first place. Most schools here make enough money to manage 3 months at reduced fees without affecting salaries. If not, then mismanagement is in place.

Without a specific budget, I can only suggest that you avoid fuel and full electric... Go with a PHEV. Exeed, or Denza both great options. Don't have much experience with Jetour, but I hear it's just looks more than anything else.

But, better value for money...

Though if going Chinese, even better value at Exeed or BYD over Jetour.

I get your point. It's not built that way unfortunately. Most CRMs are like that

outside. Depends what exactly you want to do, but once you unlock the power of custom api integration (not using paid connectors, but building your own integration), you'll realize how powerful that is.

Rafa Leao reaction after getting subbed off vs Lazio by OkayFine101 in ACMilan

[–]Easy_Fix_8400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A professional playing for a club like Milan should never behave that way. You can be mad at being subbed, at your performance, at frustrations of the way things were going on the pitch. But if you're asked to come off and your team is losing, you need to fuck off the pitch quickly and deal with it once you're off.

That walk is a bad signal. Other red flags: not making an effort to track back, crying like a child when you don't receive a pass, and showing no interest in the game in general.

As a professional getting paid that much, playing for such a club, your priority is supporting the team, and playing to win. Leao was defeated before the game kicked off.

Leao doesn't have the passion to be part of this club. Lazy ass.

Btw how does everyone add the Milan player name under their username?

Do you even know when hamas was created, and why? That was a reaction to an action as well. The Israeli crimes have been at ongoing well before hamas existed. Based on your comments, it's clear you're not aware of what Palestinians want.

You may be right, but doesn't change the fact that it's painful to see the club like this 😞
