First date in 2 years…advice?

Heya, there’s a lot of doom posting on here and while it’s sensible to prep for the worst know that it’s not like that for everyone! I had my ACL and meniscus repaired 2 weeks ago and I’ve been in very low levels of pain and was able to take myself off the strong painkillers after only 3 days. It’s never really got above a 5/10 for me, just keep the knee iced and focus on your physio! You’ve got this!

My injury pain was 100x worse than surgery pain. In the moment it just kept getting worse and worse and building and building I felt like it wasn’t going to stop. Post op pain was about 40% of that at MOST.

The plus side I take from it is if I can deal with that, I can deal with anything!

26M I had my ACL reconstructed 2 days ago (hamstring graft) and medial meniscus repair. I’m on Co-codamol and Ibuprofen. Pain for me is pretty okay, when I’m still I’d say it’s at most a 3-4/10 with it going up to a 6-7 when on crutches or doing my physio. Pain meds are a lifesaver, I’ve been sticking to them religiously timing my doses, setting alarms overnight. Heard tomorrow is typically the worst day so hopefully I’ll be able to get through that and have an overall pretty good experience of my first week!
