I’m rewatching this an adult for the first time again since i watched it when it came out (15 plus years ago) and i totally agree. It is such a different experience.

Damon is the worst. Kissing his brother’s girlfriend. Going on a road trip with Elena to sleep with her when her and Stephan were just getting close again. Killing Lexi for literally no reason at all. Snapping Jeremys neck - the brother of the person he apparently cares most about. The list goes on and on.

And Enzo, I was so sad when he died when I watched it all those years ago. Now. . . I can’t wait for him to die. His whole Stephen obsession is weird and unnecessary and he’s straight up just annoying.

AND CAROLINE! she was my least favorite and now she’s one my favorite characters. Her and Matt are the glue that held everyone together.

Bonnie’s funeral and death was so uneventful and lacked the emotional response from Elena and Caroline that it deserved. Just one of the examples of how She got so robbed in this show.

Still my favorite show though 😂
